If it's not illegal, he can't get crucified, just like Pete Rose taking a catcher or those hard fouls of the 80s NBA.

It is illegal though:

7.09
(e) If, in the judgment of the umpire, a base runner willfully and deliberately interferes with a batted ball or a fielder in the act of fielding a batted ball with the obvious intent to break up a double play, the ball is dead. The umpire shall call the runner out for interference and also call out the batter-runner because of the action of his teammate. In no event may bases be run or runs scored because of such action by a runner.
(f) If, in the judgment of the umpire, a batter-runner willfully and deliberately interferes with a batted ball or a fielder in the act of fielding a batted ball, with the obvious intent to break up a double play, the ball is dead; the umpire shall call the batter-runner out for interference and shall also call out the runner who had advanced closest to the home plate regardless where the double play might have been possible. In no event shall bases be run because of such interference.

And I get it, guys have been doing this for years (not that dirty *ss slide), but the rule is on the books.

Since when was Pedro a Dodger hater?:patrice: Another delusional LA fanbase.:pachaha:

LOL, nobody cares about the Dodgers breh.

Pedro has hated the Dodgers since they traded him for a bag of chips (Delino DeShields) and dumped his brother Ramon.

As for everyone hating the Lakers and Dodgers, they hate LA period breh.. eveyone outside of SoCal hates LA. Ever heard of the beat LA chant??

What exactly are you basing this on? When has Pedro shown any disdain for the Dodgers in the past?

LOL, no I haven't. I mean maybe at a Giants game its that serious.:russ: Obviously if the Dodgers are playing in Minnesota, I'm sure they'll get a "Beat LA" chant going once in awhile, but stop acting like the Dodgers are some universally hated team, that gets people's blood boiling. And while the Lakers have haters, they have just as many fans outside of SoCal. Nobody outside of this area or the bay cares enough about the Dodgers to hate them.

That beat la chant is some baby boomer generation shyt that will eventually die down. no one cares about those fukkboys like that anymore.

It is more about LA than anything else,
Are we going to act like LA isnt hated all throughout the country??

:usure:
I don't think this has anything to do with LA hate. LA has haters all over the country but they also have diehard fans all over the country. Are we going to say that the Posey/Cousins play was amplified because of Marlins hate? Regardless of the teams involved, it was a really shytty play by Utley that is going to result in a rule change.

:umad: at all the mets fans up in here

:blessed: at the glorious dodgers win

i do feel bad for tejada, i dont wanna see any professional athlete thats tryin to feed his fam get hurt

but honestly, wtf is that boy doing tryin to turn a double on that play. that fool had his back to the bag, ANY PROFESSIONAL shouldve known that the runner is coming IN HARD. he shouldve jus played that like a first basemen, and taken the out and stepped off the bag fast. instead he has his back turnt towards the bag and is tryin to do a running throw?

hes partially responsible for his own injuries bruhs :yeshrug:

and dont b hating chase utley for runnin the bases hard. he wouldve gotten skewered in LA if he didnt break up a potential double play

that was the play of the game as far as im concerned:obama:

changed the whole layout of the series

gl wid harvey. shud b a good matchup. anderson pitched okay his last few outings.

QUEENS NY
I have no problem with LA fans being happy they won, I would be happy too. Just don't Act stupid like it wasn't a dirty play and a horrible call. You guys caught a potentially series changing play served on a silver platter. That said if Utley gets another AB which I honestly don't think he will now, don't cry if he gets one in the ear. Don't cry when slightly retarded Daniel Murphy purposely takes out seager and injures him. Eye for an eye

Who you mad at NY? Utley for taking that fakkit tejada out or your 2nd baseball twirling around like a ballerina?
Tejada may be a fakkit but it was still a dirty play and an even worse call. He tackled tejada before even sliding and didn't start his slide until he was even with the bag.
