I've said it many times on here, of the top 15 players in the league, Paul George is the only one in the East who doesn't play on the Cavs. The elite talent of the league resides in the West. Nobody in the East can compete.

The league needs to adopt a 1-16 playoff format. In modern times, with all the time off between games, it's more than feasible. The final four right now should be GS, OKC, Cleveland and San Antonio.

I don't care about the blown out aspect. The 90s were trash. 80s teams were better because teams were more stable and rosters stayed together longer, so teams were better. We were robbed of Penny and Shaq playing years together. No one wants to address that the Jazz were the best team the Bulls ever faced....a team that couldn't make it in the 80s.

c/s mos of this, but I think the Sonics and Suns were better than those Jazz teams.

90s were competitive, but teams weren't as deep. You had one star teams like the Knicks, Pacers and Rockets who were legit contenders.

I95S
:mjlol: fukk outta here

Shaq & Penny's Magic
Patrick Ewing and the Knicks
Alonzo/Hardaway & the Heat
Reggie + Pacers
Blaylock/Mutombo/Smith - Hawks
Grant Hill + Pistons
etc
short lived? 1992-1995 is short lived?

ok, which era u wanna talk about
1980s? with Larry and the Celtics, Isiah and the Pistons, Barkley, etc
1996-1998? Knicks, Pacers, Hawks, Heat, etc.

folklore? the Pacers took the Bulls to 7 games and were up 14 in the 4th
The Knicks were up 2-0 on the Bulls in the 93' ECF
The Magic beat the Bulls in 95'

this is one of the most asinine arguments I've ever heard actually.

The poster that you're talking to is simply out of his mind.

The East back in the 90s was far more competitive. It isn't even close.

Jordan went up against...the Knicks

Ewing, Starks, Mason, Charles Oakley, Derek harper etc

The Pacers

Mark Jackson, Dale Davis, Antonio Davis, Rik Smits and Reggie Miller

Orlando

Shaq, Penny, Nick Anderson, Dennis Scott, Scott Skiles

Charlotte Hornets with

Zo, Larry Johnson, Mugsy Bogues, Kendall Gill, Dell Curry etc etc

the Hawks with

D Wilkins, Steve Smith, Mookie Blaylock, Stacey Augman, Kevin Willis etc etc

On any given year in the early -mid 90s that was the rotation of competition in the East...It aint even close :wow:

Any one of those teams back then could win the East in this day and age..

And the Cavs would've still swept the first two rounds :mjlol:. Nobody in the league can compete with those 4 teams.
