Silver has to get that 1-16 playoff seeding in effect next season. This shyt is ridiculous.
So do you want a balanced schedule with a ton more travel and back to backs? Or are you going to leave the schedule as is and end up with 10 eastern conference teams in the top 16 while people complain that bad teams got in because they played an easier schedule with more eastern teams?

2006-2010 was pretty good with the Celtics, Pistons, and Cavs doin well :ehh:
04 Pistons biggest upset in NBA history one of the best defenses ever
06 Heat Only team to come back from 0-2 in the finals(wade with some historic FT numbers too):sas2:*
08 Celtics one of the best defenses ever, the first FA assembled big 3
12/13 Heat. 3 HOF in their prime link up, never seen before

So in the last 17 years, 4 East teams have won the title and all of em were historic teams in some kind of way. Says a lot about how good the West is/was

2 best teams would make the finals and that's what matters

I think a "one and done" style competition will make the playoffs more significant...We already had an 82 game season, we don't need series in the playoffs...

I think teams just choose not to perform on the road...The mentality is "if we get one game, that is cool, but if we lose 2, we can still get them back home"...

If the players knew there were NO second chances, the games would be hard fought and more exciting...

There is ZERO buzz about the NBA Finals except among Basketball fans....Casual fans like me don't give a FCUK...

It is MORE entertaining for me to come to thecoli.com and read all the hilarious post-game commentary...

How are you sure of that? You could still have a situation where a good team gets injured and a team gets in by default. You could also still have the best teams face in an earlier round. In every major sport there are two leagues/divisions etc and the championship is between the two leagues and divisions. Is there really any value to changing the rules of the NBA just to try to keep LeBron out of the finals?
