Ginobili was never a max player, neither is Klay, and to keep it 100 I'm not so sure Draymond and Ibaka are truly max players, I'm not building a team with those two as my foundation.
First off, a team built around Bosh wasn't doing anything either. And you're ignoring the coach. Pop+Parker+Ginobli is more likely to win a title alongside a star than Spolstra+Wade+Bosh if the Spurs organization is building the team.
Second of all, Draymond and Ibaka were one of FOUR stars on their team at one point. You have teams building around Durant, Westbrook, AND Harden, then Ibaka was the icing on the cake. Teams building around Durant and Curry AND you have the best shooter in the NBA and you have this year's DPOY and you have the guy who won Finals MVP two years ago and you have last year's COY. That's six major pieces, of which Draymond is only one.
You're literally comparing a team that had 4 guys who made all-NBA last year AND the best 6th-man in the league, or a team that had 3 future MVP candidates and a DPOY candidate in the same year, to a team that had 2 MVP candidates and a decent all-star who was a couple steps below even 3rd-team All-NBA.
And acting like a basketball team is built by counting to three is just wrong. The 4th player matters a lot. The 5th player matters a lot. The bench matters a lot. The coaching matters a lot. It's this idiot double-standard where a "super team" is graded by the top three players and nothing but the top three and how shytty the #4 is or the bench is doesn't matter at all...of course, until Lebron trades for a bench asset, and then they're the greatest unfair advantage in the history of basketball.
Magic never tried to team up with Bird
No, Magic explicitly teamed up with Kareem, at that time the all-time GOAT of the NBA. That was the worst example you could have tried to use.
Jordan never tried to team up with Olajuwon and Barkley
What a weird pick, because Olajuwon AND Barkley AND Drexler teamed up together. But why would Jordan have done that when he already had the GOAT coach and the GOAT sidekick and a well-rounded cast....where the hell was a better situation? Then he added a HOF, 1st-team All-Defensive power foward on top of that to do the dirty work, and two of the best shooters in the NBA coming off the bench. By the 2nd run there were four Hall of Famers on that team at the same time...how stupid would Jordan have been to leave?
Kobe never tried to team up with the Spurs or Kings
He started out as a sidekick to the most dominant player in the sport and then got the (at the time) top coach in the sport...where was he going to go? Why would he go to the Kings when he was BEATING the Kings? You think Kobe an idiot? He did help the Lakers beg to get Malone and Payton the second that he and Shaq got beat by a Spurs team whose only star was Duncan.
Later on he DID threaten to leave if he didn't get help, and the Lakers tried to get CP3 when when was at MVP-level, then built the most dominant front court in basketball at the time (Gasol-Bynum-Odom and then Artest and Ariza) AND brought back an experienced point guard and HOF coach to lead them. What the hell was the better situation that was available to him? It's not like the Spurs had cap room. Then later he threw in Dwight at Nash for good measure (players that they'd been trying to get for years before that when they were closer to their primes too).
