Eastern Conferences playoffs is hella garbage

There haven't been 4-5 contenders in the West since the late 2000's and 1 or two years in the 10's. Once Boston fell off in the East and LeBron went to go play with his boys the East has either been 1 or 2 contenders deep max. Once Kobe fell off the West has only been two deep.

There was never s year where the west had 4-5 legit contenders

1... Taking away hand checking in 05 so u have nikkas like steph and bron and others have easier opportunities to get to the basket makes the league on the defensive end look horrible

2... Taking away the lanes for bigs defensively by calling 3 seconds violation makes it easier for dudes to drive to the basket

LOL all were legit title contenders dumbazz, that's why the West was so tough, you had teams who would have won the championship if they were able to get to the Finals. Real talk if it wasn't for the Lakers, Spurs might have 10 championships, Mavs, Rockets, and Kings would all have an extra ship. That Western Conference was RIDICULOUSLY competitive, ala the 90s Eastern Conference and the 80s NBA as a whole.

Been following the league since early 90s and very closely since the mid 2000s, and this is the first year I'm not excited by most of these games...I've skipped entire series, fast forwarded games (I watch them delayed), etc. East-West, same difference. I damn near feel like it's the offseason already. Vast majority of the games have no intensity, no fire. I'm actually considering skipping the games this weekend and focusing on FIBA basketball. Those guys ready to die on the court lol

The problem is that no one outside of the Spurs really has the heart and IQ to match LeBron. After he won last year he understood who his only real threat is ( his true rivals in the Spurs).

He is so comfortable against these East teams that dude is actually showing off some handles and moves.

The only hope for these playoffs is if the Spurs can somehow get past the Warriors. Steph and KD have already been exposed time and time again to the point that I would choose the Cavs just based off of LeBron and Kyries mental advantage. Plus the Warriors whole schtick unravels when people just play big and get boards.

This iteration of the Warriors "juggernaut" was undone in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. And low key this is actually the worst iteration of the Warriors as it relies too much on streaks and poor opponent play.

^^^were all legitimate championship teams. 2000s Western Conference playoffs stayed lit Now we got all stars coming off the bench for other all stars because everybody wants the easy path to a ring

the Rockets with Tmac and Yao injured were good enough to win it all?

teaming up with a top 5 player ever in Shaq can make those challenges a bit easier. no?
