After all my research, I have to credit the Ancient Greeks for utilizing the power of fasting the most. Aristotle or was it Plato said I fasting for greater physical and mental benefit. I suspect as usual, they got all their knowledge from the Ancient Egyptians regarding fasting; but I cannot provide proof just a lingering feeling.
At the moment in my 20s, I eat 2 meals within a 4 hour period and fast the reminder of the day, so 20 day daily fast. Still building lean muscle, look healthy, 8-10% Body fat with abs and my mental vigour has never been this good. Late 30s I will start one meal a day when hormone levels start to drop till 60. And after 60, will eat once evert 3 days for longevity purposes.
It was either Malcolm X or Elijah Muhammad that said “A man’s desire for food is far greater than his desire for sex”.
And we still haven’t even discussed the power of Dry fasting and long term water fasting. If you interested in fasting and the power of it with the backing of modern science. I suggest you look at the work of Dr Jason Fung.
