They studied the dudes that came before them and then they worked on their craft until they got a deal. Eazy E was da only cat that could truly say I'm not a rapper. They had to beg this dude to get in the booth and then spoon feed him rap lines to say.

He used to say little Gang rhymes and sometimes he would spit Pimp rhymes

Then when he first heard Rappers Delight by Sugar Hill Gang he said he could do that because he was already rapping he just had to figure out how to rap to a beat

And he wrote his raps
