His contract was up. Andy wanted him to go elsewhere to not be under his shadow so he could get a HC position.

Can't knock the guy for trying but they should've brought him back immediately after it didn't work in Washington.

He is obviously very good at what he does so this makes sense. Being a HC may not be for him but he is excellent at helping the offense in any form

I remember the media trying to portray EB as an angry Black Man due to him being a straight shooter and not someone who coddles players. Even had silly reports in Washington's camps that he was too hard and mean to the players.

The irony is his so-called poor attitude was never a question during his time with Kansas City, all the while being a part of 3 Championships.
