Help me understand...

It's ok for Drake to comment on somebody speaking out about black issues in America. But when the observation is made that he himself doesn't comment on anything, there are countless excuses made?

Had Drake kept his mouth shut, there wouldn't be anything to talk about.

The dikk swallowing y'all nikkas do for this man is outrageous, but expected.
Thank you

What is he gonna do. Be his goofy self and try to be a rap star?

He’s not the problem. The problem is we don’t have check and balances in the culture to prevent a caricature like him from getting respect. We’ve seen far Worse than him too. Tekashi 69 to name one
Then the comments in this thread shouldn't be what they are, in getting on Ebro for saying anything, other than the fact that he's years too late, because he's attempting to be/do just that.

I don't care about this topic either way but that's a terrible example :mjlol:

First time he fixed his lips to address police brutality was in the most self-serving way as a deflection tactic. I agree with your overall point, though.
“Damn, just turned on the news and seen that men who never got p*ssy in school
Are makin' laws about what women can do”

Didn't they get Tekashi out the paint? The reason why they won't go at Drake is cause they wanna leech off him
Tekashi was never in the paint.

His gimmicks got him a lot of engagement, none of his music ever had any staying power. He was able do “number” long enough to get the screenshot but his music had no replay value for anyone.

Kid was all smoke and mirrors.

It doesn't, but saying "Drake isn't the problem" and ignoring the rest of what I said seems hypocritical if you feel that way about Drake.
The problem is lack of standards and structure in Hip Hop.

I think drake is a clown and a vulture but it wouldn’t matter if there is no requirement of authenticity in Hip Hop. The power has been relinquished to outsiders/corporations/publications and it didn’t have to happen that way. That is the problem to me.

Drake is a brand. Ebro should look to magnify the voices of brands that already speak out on black issues. Isn't he the Program Director at Hot 97?
