At the end of the day, in order for Hip Hop to change it's going to be up to the people and who they support. Once the people support, radio/tv/blogs will follow

I wholeheartly agree. We can complain about the state of Hip Hop all day until we're blue in the face but the fact of the matter is the average listener (even the so called underground head) doesn't care enough to help push the tide in what get's played on major media outlets.

Right. What did you think about him talking about his competitor (105.1) not doing shyt for the culture, where atleast they (Hot 97) try to do so?

Its absolutely true ... Hot 97 has been ingrained in the foundation of Hip hop over the years it will always get criticism though . No one cares if power 1051 does the same ...... Until power1051 gain years of stain in the game and help foster the career of many artists like hot 97 have done ... and be as impactful on hip hop as hot 97 .. they wont have criticism.

They are seen as the lil brother to hot 97 who anything they do is appreciated ... rather than scrutinized and critiqued.

No one even knows who the PD or music director is for power1051 .. everyone knows that its ebro n karlie hustle for hot 97
