It’s not as deep as folks make it.

as someone who’s in advertising, it’s typically done in an effort to reach multiple demographics in a single piece of creative. It’s mostly a cost-saving technique.

A single ad can be leveraged to target more audiences. All these ‘great replacement theory’ conspiracies are a little hackneyed.

What do you specifically do in advertising?
Because these choices are highly intentional and not just about demographics.

It’s a very specific formula of gay black male, bm/ww or bw/wm or aw/wm.

Where are the Asian gays? Or Asian man/white woman couples? Where do Blasians come from? Cuz I’ve never seen that place on tv.

said it before....1) BW in marketing and executive positions are advocating for this 2)I don't know what it is...but BM/WW just drives people insane....BW,WM,BM etc....it just the sight of it brings out the worst reaction about interracial couples

A lot of marketing and polling shows...that when you're advertising a product to all races of people...never, ever show a commercial with a BM and WW holding hands, kissing etc....you will get all the negative press, boycotts and petitions that comes with it
Really, You don't know what it is? Men are seen as #1, so having a black man be the object of desire for any woman pisses them off. Mexican men are just as volatile as cacs if they see their women hugged up on a brotha. I don't even swirl, but I will point out the blatant hypocrisy of the people who do swirl.
:russ:Black women in the quotes packed his ass up.
Because he hit a nerve.

The thing with IR relationships is, dont put down Black men/women, when you do it.

I'm a huge M.O.P. fan and i was SHOCKED when Lil' Fame married a white woman, but he seems like the type to not down Black women, so I can rock wit it

Oh, and this is me and @Ed MOTHEREFFING G song right here

Really?
Then why so many same sex ads? Is there that much money left on the table from that demo?
There is definitely an agenda beyond cost-savings.

You’re exactly right. Childless gay couples are considered an incredibly valuable audience to marketers. Higher than average household incomes, over representation within white collar professions, etc. Hence why brands want to ensure their products are viewed favorably by that demo.

Nah, the contrarians in this thread saying the OP is being paranoid, are either CACs or non-black. This is not a coincidence. This is not about reaching multiple demographics. And this is not a case of more black women in high marketing positions.

I work for a top financing company. And many times, my industry and those from marketing/advertising will cross pollinate.

Yes, whilst there are black women in high positions in the advertising industry, it’s still dominated by white men, with white women second. Those two groups have the final say and most influence, especially when it comes to casting.

This is intentional and very sinister. There was a thread on AllHipHop in 2004 ABOUT THIS! Mainly asking why are they advertising black women with biracial babies heavily. Nearly 20 years AGO!!!

How is it i and others noticed this back in 2004 but somehow we’re being paranoid? Forget couples. I’ve seen way too many billboards and commercials where the black woman is a single mother. The erasure of black men in black families is insidious and calculated.

If you can’t see this, then you’re being obtuse. The dumb birds on Twitter would agree if Ebro said BM/WW. The largest growing interracial relationship are WM/AW… and yet I rarely see that pairing in commercials. They know to still show white couples in healthy settings.

-I wonder if it has something to do with the whole white man feeling inferior to Black men. They might be trying to visually level the images.

-White men built up the whole "Stealing our women" "Breeding us out" "WM going extinct" shyt in response to Black men being the power of these mixed houses. White nationalists run with the narrative. Putting more white men as the head of these relationships makes them feel like they're not the weak link in B/W relationships anymore. White men gotta prove they still have a hold over Black women to not look inferior.

Maaaaaaan look at here. I've been talking about this for a minute now and always notice there aren't any black men in a lot of these commercials and if there are any they're gay or in some type of gay HIV commercial like Biktarvy or the long list of other HIV commercials with transsexuals and all kinds of other shyt . Somebody posted an article about what we are seeing now and its a good read. Long but very inciteful and let's you know why you seeing what you seeing on TV nowadays.

“It’s a white industry. Just as the NBA is a Black industry. I’m not even saying it’s a bad thing. It just is. And the Black people they do hire tend to be the same person. That person tends to be female and that person tends to be Ivy League.”-Chris Rock
