I see it everywhere as well. Any commercial with a couple in it is going to have WM BW couple. TV shows constantly putting it in your faces (Walking Dead, Titans, Dear White People, MTV reality dating shows). They just had to make the 1st black Bachelorette chose the white guy over the black man. The Sonic movies. That "The Hate You Give Movie" in which the protagonists black boyfriend is killed by police, only for her to end up dating the white boy in the end. It's definitely engineering to steer black women towards white men.

My issue is in the commercial they will show an interracial couple and white couples. It's never interracials and black couples in the same commercial.

It really feels to me like they are trying to make it seem like black couples are the outlier.

It had been ramped up, you would be blind to miss it. More people are noticing because they are not even subtle anymore. It’s in ads, Tv shows and movies.

Actually no. Most of the commercials that I've seen feature dark/darker skinned Black women with a White man. I rarely see them pair a light skin BW with a WM.

I also rarely see Black man/White woman commercials. So it's interesting.

I do see some Black couples/families in commercials but the interracial ones outweigh them by a decent amount.

Yup. Unless someone has done a longitudinal quantitative analysis looking at hundreds of commercials over a 10 year span, there isn't any data to support the idea that there are more BW/WM pairings than the opposite. And if you've been primed by people posting their opinions on social media pages you visit, you're more likely to believe that there are more black woman white man pairings on TV than the reality which is that its likely an even mix.
