Donna Edwards Blasts The Media And Democrats Criticizing Her As "Difficult"

“I don’t talk to reporters off the record,” she said of the sources who spoke toPolitico, and were quoted anonymously. “If I have something to say I say it on the record because I’m not ashamed for my name to be attached to it.”

This is getting nasty

One of the comments on that article:

Van Hollen is a nice guy. But as head of the DCCC he was not effective in getting Democrats elected or re-elected to Congress in 2010. He asked for money, but he gave no reasons that I recall for Americans to vote for Congress. President Obama and the Democratic controlled Congress saved the economy. But Van Hollen failed to articulate that. Democrats suffered their greatest Congressional loss in history. He resigned as head of the DCCC afterwards.

Democrats still don't have a message. They have been riding the we're not Republicans wave since 2006, but Bush aint in office anymore. They don't know what to do because they're no longer the party of economic progressives so they cannot rally behind that. Protecting LGBT rights is not going to rally people the way it did under Bush.

Pelosi was not the greatest leader.

And look who else is not behind Donna

Donna Edwards’s campaign unsettles the Israel lobby inside the Democratic Party

Earlier this year the Washington Post said that Edwards took critical stances on Israel, “angering some Jewish donors”; at that point she was getting outraised by Van Hollen, 10 to 1. The Guardian has said that Edwards’s votes on Israel and Iran could sink her in the election. - See more at: Donna Edwards’s campaign unsettles the Israel lobby inside the Democratic Party

Keep it real with ya boy. Why should I vote for her other than her being a black female at odds with establishment dems?

Because she's qualified breh. They're painting her "difficult" to work with in this campaign but that's really all they got.

I like Van Hollen but when he was the head of the DCCC, him and Pelosi were weak as hell and didn't push back against the Tea Party surge in 2010. They had the money but no message to get people out to vote.

And the whole her office didn't provide constituent services is BS.

The Dems have no platform. Getting more people like Donna in the Senate is going to return the damn party back to where it should be. She's not going to be apologetically trying to pander to the Republicans.

I think that's the crux of it all IMO. On the issues, they're 95% the same.

Pelosi was the reason why the lost. If the Dems get congress back they should have a new speaker. Donna has made enemies breh... Maxine Waters is not someone you cross breh...

Right I need more examples to sway my van hollen vote like this. Right now, as I see it, he's one of the smartest dems when it comes to finance and budgetary measures. But imo, I seriously doubt his progressive stances because he should be Elizabeth Warren status.

Now this I definitely believe. Any dem willing to go toe to toe with the establishment is not gonna bend over for republicans.

Is the loser of this race retaining their house position?

They're both giving up their seats.

I hope Jamie Raskin wins the primary for Van Hollen's seat.

Anthony Brown, Glenn Ivey, and Joseline Pena-Melnyk are going for Donna's seat. Brown's corny ass prolly gonna lose again :russ:
