mhmm only saw gifs and pics of the last few pages but i'm definatly down for this. was hoping the combat was more fast paced like sekiro but with more options and movesets. however it seems there aere other elements like magic and summonings at play so i'm fine with it being more demon souls esque

Not gonna lie the first fromsoft game that clicked for me was Bloodborne and I was still hella casual with it

A lot of people love Bloodborne so much because it took out things that made Dark Souls challenging, mainly equipment weight and poise. It doesn't matter what armor or weapons you have equipped in Bloodborne, you will dodge and move at the same speed no matter what. Also giving you the chance to regain health you lose after you get hit. Also as I have said before, once you learn how to parry in Bloodborne the difficulty of the game is a fukking joke until you get to the DLC and even that isn't that hard. Every enemy in BB almost can be parried, and the parry windows are long as hell compared to the other Souls games and the parry animation is fast as fukk.

I give Bloodborne it's praise for the world and the design of the game, Yharnam is GOAT level shyt. I just always :hhh: when I see people say it is the hardest Fromsoft game(Bloodborne is not a Souls game in my opinion, I do not lump them together Bloodborne is an action game with RPG elements, Dark Souls is an RPG with action elements), shyt is the EASIEST game they have made in modern times by a country ass mile.

Dark souls 1 was the easiest for me, especially with sorcery build. Once you get soul spear and homing shots is a wrap. Nothing can mess with it

Enemies are just not programmed to deal with this type of build

I actually found Dark Souls easier than Bloodborne with the exception of Nameless King in DS3 and that Purple Dragon and the Final Santa Claus boss of the DS3 DLC

Sorcery is OP in all these games, part of the reason I stay away from it. Sorcery in Demon's Souls is more broken than Batmans back in Dark Knight Rises.

I just know Bloodborne has one build basically. Even a strength build in BB is just a Dex build basically. Don't get me wrong I like Bloodborne, I just need people to be honest about what it is, which is watered down Dark Souls.

Yup it’s like they took one build, and built a whole game around it. Same with Sekiro.

Im looking forward to getting back a true RPG

IMO if they would have kept more of the Souls elements to BB I would actually concede that it probably is FromSofts best game. GOAT level world design and art style, GOAT level character and enemy design, excellent ambient sounds, great mechanics. The shyt just always felt like I was playing Dark Souls on easy mode. Every enemy is dodge, dodge, dodge, parry their attack, riposte, repeat. Didn't matter if you were a STR build, a Dex build, a Skill build, etc. The basic combat loop was the same for every enemy almost.

A lot of people seem to not like the rpg elements of souls games, which is why bloodborne and sekiro are so popular. It’s also why I don’t like them as much as some people do. I like build variety it adds replay value

They don't like the RPG mechanics because that is what actually makes Souls games challenging. :russ:

The RPG mechanics make it so you have to strategize and actually maximize your equipment and approach to combat within your build. Otherwise Dark Souls would just be a dumbed down DMC without the jump feature. The enemies in the Souls games are some of the most fairly balanced enemies you can find in a game, none of them feel cheap... well excluding Dark Souls 2 that game was just goofy. If the game is extremely hard to you, you need to learn the mechanics and learn how to play the game. Bloodborne took all that out and turned it into a hack n slash game to make it more accessible to everyone, and what do you know the easiest and most casual and accessible game is the most popular one. :mjlol:
