Respect the good & understand the bad
Is it too late to get a trade? I’m 31 I see this is targeting young brehs

Never too late to get into the trades, breh. Go for it. As long as you got some hustle and a little muscle someone will give you a chance. I'm at six figures now and could lean more into the management side if I wanted to, but I love working with my hands too much.

I been posting about this in all the :damn:THEY ONLY WANT STREET NIKKAS WITH BODIES" threads for years:mjlol: my brother drives a garbage truck, but you'd think he got bricks if you didn't know any better:pachaha:

The nightlife is held up by men in blue collar trades. That's who's buying all them dumb ass sections in the club:mjlol:

It's sad that having a regular 9-5 job has somehow become something to be ashamed of in our community. That you're some kind of lame or sucker if you work a job that offers benefits and a retirement plan. :dahell:

I’d rather have a 9-5 job than to be a in prison right now making enough for some Mike and Ikes

A lot of rappers have a short window of time tbh…3-4 years

I’d learn a trade and still rap on the side.

That’s why I respect Sadat X and how he’s not too prideful to get a job after the Brand Nubian checks stopped coming in.

Dude works in the health field
BFB Da Packman was a mail carrier while he was doing shows, I think he left now but he spoke about rappers not having a pension, health insurance, and how he had 401k contributions, it was like a double hustle, using the day job money to make more money while you go on tour.

This is one of the reasons they are shutting down Job Corps. Don’t EVER get it twisted
Getting into trades take a lil self investment and some motivation. There is still plenty of need and it's easy for young men to apprentice. Most won't make the effort. I'm just gonna be honest.
These ain't jobs for people who need to be told what to do. If you are like that you will still end up getting the low end wages and miserable hours. To be independent demands a lot of self investment but the payoff is godly. When you do good work, work comes to you in that environment. I work with mechanics and electricians.
