“Eli who had two runs and outside of that either never made it to the playoffs or was one and done, that had more to do with the giants and parts of him, it’s essentially like you fukked two dimes in your lifetime and was dry dikk the rest of the time, yeah you hit 2 dimes, but that’s it at best you got a rando to touch it”

Eli will go into the hof but his jacket is wildly inconsistent

What does this even mean? :mjlol: . I'm struggling with the thread title, poll title, and the post you quoted. They don't all say the same thing.:pachaha:.

If you're asking about an ideal situation by having a defense in 2007-2008 that was able to generate a great pass rush, sure? But, they were a wild card team and had to play on the road and then face the undefeated Patriots. I don't think that's ideal.

Then in 2011, it was similar, although they received the benefit of the most overlooked and worst call I've seen in playoff history in that Ahmad Bradshaw was given forward progress on a clear fumble that would have probably sealed the game for the 49er's. They still had to go through Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers, a 13-3 49er's team, and then the Patriots again.

He did get some great plays by his teammates in all of those games though. Beyond great plays.

He was not better than Big Ben or Rivers, but he will get into the HOF due to those wins and him being in New York.

youre confusing eli’s conditions with the giants’ conditions.

the giants as a team had to win three road games (one home and two road in 2011) then beat the pats. eli played well in both runs so he deserves his flowers. but he wasnt carrying those teams. in terms of the teams he was on, he was in a good situation

those super bowls were mostly about the giants defense matching up against new england extremely well. thats the main reason they won those games

In his 2 Super Bowl runs he threw 15 tds and 2 picks

The 2011 run he had 300 ypg and 65% completion and 9 tds to 1 pick

His receivers were Victor Cruz, Mario Manningham and this Wikipedia picture
Devin_Thomas_%28American_football_player%2C_born_1986%29.jpg

The running game was ranked 32nd and defense 27th

Besides the 2 super bowls his career numbers are solid. Give the man his flowers

These stats from 2011 show how much Eli carried the entire team that year:

The Giants became the first team ever with fewer than ten wins in a 16-game regular season to win the Super Bowl.

The Giants were the first team with a running game ranked last (32nd) and a defense ranked as low as 27th to win a Super Bowl.

The Giants made history as the first Super Bowl team ever outscored in the regular season (394 points scored, 400 points allowed).

Eli Manning led the team on seven fourth-quarter comebacks and eight game-winning drives, making him the NFL all-time leader for both in a single season. The giants won nine games that season.

Manning set an NFL record in 2011 with 15 fourth-quarter touchdown passes.

Eli Manning still holds the single post season record for passing yards with 1,219 yards
