the giants as a team had to win three road games (one home and two road in 2011) then beat the pats. eli played well in both runs so he deserves his flowers. but he wasnt carrying those teams. in terms of the teams he was on, he was in a good situation

those super bowls were mostly about the giants defense matching up against new england extremely well. thats the main reason they won those games

That and both scenarios the Giants became elite defenses in the last few weeks of the regular season and carried it into the playoffs.
