That’s true but Eli went into Lambeau and lit the #1 seed, 15-1 Packers with the 4th ranked defense the fukk up with 330 yards, 3 tds and 37 points.
Green Bay was dead last in total yards allowed that year. 30th in first downs allowed. Dead last in passing yards allowed at 4796, which I think is the most ever. Allowed 29 touchdown passes on the year, which was 27th in the league. They were also 26th in yards allowed per carry, 28th in plays allowed per drive, 31st in yards allowed per drive, and 23rd in points allowed per drive. They were 19th in total points allowed. No clue where you’re getting 4th ranked from. They allowed 27 points or more 6 different times during the regular season too.

giants defense held the packers to 20 points and patriots to 17 points. both high-powered offenses that were putting lots of points on the board all season
Great showing by the giants, but the packers also had something like 9-10 drops by their receivers. Pretty good chance the packers take that one if the receivers just hang onto the ball.

What does this even mean? :mjlol: . I'm struggling with the thread title, poll title, and the post you quoted. They don't all say the same thing.:pachaha:.

If you're asking about an ideal situation by having a defense in 2007-2008 that was able to generate a great pass rush, sure? But, they were a wild card team and had to play on the road and then face the undefeated Patriots. I don't think that's ideal.

Then in 2011, it was similar, although they received the benefit of the most overlooked and worst call I've seen in playoff history in that Ahmad Bradshaw was given forward progress on a clear fumble that would have probably sealed the game for the 49er's. They still had to go through Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers, a 13-3 49er's team, and then the Patriots again.

He did get some great plays by his teammates in all of those games though. Beyond great plays.

He was not better than Big Ben or Rivers, but he will get into the HOF due to those wins and him being in New York.

That’s all I’m saying we know he’s decent but that last name doing some heavy lifting and the two sbs

youre confusing eli’s conditions with the giants’ conditions.

the giants as a team had to win three road games (one home and two road in 2011) then beat the pats. eli played well in both runs so he deserves his flowers. but he wasnt carrying those teams. in terms of the teams he was on, he was in a good situation

those super bowls were mostly about the giants defense matching up against new england extremely well. thats the main reason they won those games

That pass rush had Tom in a blender

In his 2 Super Bowl runs he threw 15 tds and 2 picks

The 2011 run he had 300 ypg and 65% completion and 9 tds to 1 pick

His receivers were Victor Cruz, Mario Manningham and this Wikipedia picture
Devin_Thomas_%28American_football_player%2C_born_1986%29.jpg

The running game was ranked 32nd and defense 27th

Besides the 2 super bowls his career numbers are solid. Give the man his flowers

Solid… he played for a decade plus they ought to be, talk about the missed playoffs or the one and dones

His defense played lights out holding them to 20 points

I been outta the loop, you beefing with the whole Big 10 and not just @Regular_P now? :lupe:

Or is it just this natty got you feeling spicy? :mjlit:

You mean your boss, who didn’t trust you on the fry o lator that’s why you on mop duty

Two time Super Bowl mvp
Top 11 in yards all time
Top ten in TDs all time
210 consecutive starts
Holds the record for Most passing yards in a postseason ever
Is not hof worthy?

Guess what fakkit, it is :blessed:

He played for damn near 14 years,

Of those he missed the playoffs a lot and occasionally was one and done

200 plus starts is a difficult thing to quantify given so many factors

Situations were not ideal at all for Eli.

DropTopSebring watches more HS football than pro anyway, idk why we taking his word this serious.

They def were, and that’s lil brother talk for I’m just on their side cuz I’m mad at big bro

Don’t go against the family

We’re not talking about how good Eli is or isn’t. I never cared for Eli tbh.

This is about you trying to discredit those two SB runs when they are probably two of the toughest in the history of the NFL.

In addition to having to go up against the greatest Dynasty ever twice they also had to go to Lambaeu both times and win in addition to San Fran.

In what world is that ideal…?

Ideal would be having a bye then playing at home.

Have you taken a look around this thread, they are echoing my sentiments

Eli was good, that defense did some heavy lifting, in those runs along with the run game

Dabo is a good coach them teams were crazy good, but without his ocs and generational qbs he’s lost his change up, yeah cool he beats up the acc but on the bigger stage he’s looked less than stellar

My definition of ideal was a lot of shyt broke his way, that defense and run game both runs was crazy good, he didn’t have to go out there and be the man just be smart with the football and hit his targets

If the runs weren’t ideal then he should be able to make the gravy again, and he didn’t, well guess who can’t seem to make the gravy again dabo, whatever accolades and accomplishments you want to bestow cool I’m not disputing that, my argument is it seems that minus certain factors we ain’t seen this shyt again

Meh, the first one, I would say the Giants D-line won the super bowl, Brady was torching teams all season until the lions put the d on him
