Regret dropping my cs double major in college rn so bad. My professor told me I would regret this day  I looked at him like :childplease: yeah right I this EE degree will get me by I’m not tryna code for shyt, now look at me years later trying to join a boot camp and teach myself:to::mjcry:. I know this nikka laughing at me

Computer science plus electrical engineering is basically computer engineering. Why not just get a masters in computer engineering with a focus on computer science topics? Having the algorithms courses would prep you for the big tech interviews

what you do breh? Do you need to be good at math? What was the interview like?

What language are they speaking?!?! :damn:What the fukk is a palandrone?

:dead: :dead: :dead: :dead: :dead: :dead: :dead: :dead: :dead: :dead: :mjlol:

That is definitely one of the beginner coding questions or something similar to it. Coding challenges during interviews is definitely the worst part but you have to look at it as a challenge to get better.

I'm a Site Reliability Engineer for the government

I build up and maintain the infrastructure..basically I make sure that websites and applications are constantly up and running. I test for any potential failures, I have to make sure everything is secure. Think of it as a Civil Engineer that has to design a building the best way possible and keep it going for years.

Unless you're in Data Science, Machine Learning, or you want to work numbers a lot (Hedge funds) You don't have to be good at math but you have to know the basics.

One thing I tell people is that you have to be patient and used to failing. Programming isn't like what people see on TV, its a lot of reading/Googling.

Feel free to hit me up whenever. There are a good. Umber of programmers on here @Obreh Winfrey @Neo The Resurrected ONE

Foundation. I don’t have the necessary foundation to take the courses. I would need to take jr/sophomore lvl courses in college again to understand the more advanced topics. Not knowing the fundamentals of coding syntax would make this tough

BTW, I hate how being a programmer/coder/engineer is now synonymous with being a web developer :scust:

There is some much more to being a software developer than being in a role where you fiddle with HTML or maintain some javascript app. :camby:

I'm on the networking side of the game but I had a Ukrainian dude who could shyt out code for anything I asked. I don't care how weird it sounded, that cat could make it do what it do.

Dude was like a cook in a Chinese restaurant with his heavily accented English.

Haven't heard from him in about two months since the beginning of the conflict.

Did you not finish your EE or something?

I switched from CS to EE as well and we still had to learn coding, just not as much.

I'm over here doing proof of concepts with technologies and frameworks I've never touched, turning out a solid product within hours to a couple days, and that video describes my life at every goddamn interview
