The problem is greed people. College was never this expensive until the government started handed out loans. Easy loans mean easy money so schools raise the price. Baby boomers had cheap education that their summer jobs paid for.

You know there is something called talent and ability.

How about instead seeing college as a way to prove your worth, you actually do things that are worth while, like people always did. You go to college to learn things. You do things outside of college to prove competency.

We had a big rise in Leftism in the 60s. The USA government is fearful due to the communism threat and decides to destroy the Left.

The switch happens where racist Democrats become Republican.

Since all the leaders on the Left were killed, jailed or co-opted, there is no viable Left. Right-wing extremism is on the raise even in the 90s. We had the OKC bombing. We had the Drug War that was created after the USA brought drugs into this country to fund death squads.

Republicans over the years became so extreme they pulled Democrats right wing.

Our own government did everything it could to keep left wing ideas out of our politics. It killed people so Trump can be president. So daycares could be bombed by a crazy White nationalist.

None of this happens if we had a viable Left wing.

I have come to believe, how a country treat its citizens is how they will treat the world and vice versa. No wonder we are so fukked up for a 1st world country.

That's because Washington DC got a code going on about explaining policies as if it is like planning a family budget, so there's a lot of cognitive dissonance going on.

I remember my econ 101 teacher told the class the government should be ran like a household. I was super confused because I was like the government controls the money supply.

Everyone thinks like that. Like people think their taxes pay for stuff but it doesn't exactly pay for stuff but is like collateral.
