Ripley relied on luck and audacity but Naru is smarter and quicker. More athletic than Rips too.
Naru is basically a MarySue so of course she’ll win. If Aliens came out in todays climate of feminism and misandry, Ripley would be Thanos.

Naru is not a MarySue because she got her fair share of Ls in the movie. The story acknowledged her flaws and insecurities. I don't think Ripley is a MarySue either. I just think Naru has better fighting and survival skills than Ripley.
Right they mad at Naru but ignore characters like Ripley and Sarah Connor. One started out as a space junk lady and the other a small diner waitress but learned to fight. Naru comes from a life that required her to hunt, scavenge and fight from the start and they saying she is unrealistic?

Atleast we seen Naru train and upgrade and train her new upgrade weapons. We seen her use her skills of medicine and tracking in action amd talked about in passing.
She was shown inferior in hunting only when geauxin in for the kill. She lacked physical killing ability. She was showm as a tactician. He brother confirmed her plan to kill the Lion worked. And she displayed fighting skills against the men when they captured her.

Her flaws are practically nonexistent. Adding a rope to your hatchet doesn’t make you more accurate or stronger. It was a simply a suggested flaw for the likes to say she wasn’t one. Which is fine if she was imo. But to say Ripley was one is crazy because all she had was leadership and that’s all she ever relied on. She wasn’t beating men in combat and heralded as anything other someone with more intel than everyone else.
Naru was getting beat up throughout the movie and that's why the predator made the mistake of overlooking her. It didn’t see her as another predator it saw her as prey. The white men beat up Naru and the men her tribe roughed her up too. Her weaknesses weren't implied they were front and center just like her strengths.
I don’t think anyone is arguing against that. What’s happening is the conversation about Naru being a better character than Ripley from the other thread is spilling into yours which isn’t fair because you asked who the better fighter was and that’s clearly Naru.

Ripley is thr female prototype. She has taken out Aliens which imo are more dangerous than predators and done it with smarts and experience.
Side note: Sigourney Weaver has always been a sleeper looks wise. She downplayed her looks by design.
