We used to call them sissies and they turned around and made it legal to call us cis. They trolling TF out of us and we ain't een know it. 
Nah..it was just made up. There is no historical use of the word in biology or psychology. And they just came up with a definition for it in 2015.
My problem is when people get so self-righteous and are basically like "duh everyone should know what it means" when a definition was just crafted for it less than a decade ago.

the word "cis" really bother people? my company has 3k+ people and the execs and upper management use the word cis in meetings and emails.
doesn't seem bad once you understand it's just to describe someone whose gender matches their sex.
