I don’t believe Elon had direct involvement in that. Can that be confirmed?
From the lawsuit by the California employment board, which points out this shyt was going on for years and Tesla did nothing:
The company has been hit with several discrimination lawsuits but this from a government agency may have wider implications
www.theguardian.com
The claims center around allegations in Tesla’s Fremont factory in the San Francisco Bay Area. Black workers at the facility were subjected to “offensive racial harassing conduct so severe and pervasive that it created a hostile work environment”, according to the 39-page complaint from DFEH.
Many workers reported derogatory comments came directly from their superiors, the agency writes. One Black worker reported hearing racial slurs as often as 50-100 times a day, being called the “N-word”, and “hood rats”, according to the complaint.
Other workers told of racist graffiti found in factory common areas, including swastikas, KKK, the N-word, and other racist writing that Tesla did not remove for months at a time, according to the suit.
Black workers reported being assigned difficult, menial jobs in segregated areas of the factory known as “the dark side”, DFEH also says, and are less likely to be promoted to management positions.
“For many Black workers, the stress from the severe and pervasive racial harassment, the risk of a physical altercation and escalation with harassers, the blatant discrimination, the disproportionately severe discipline, and the futility of complaining, made the working conditions so intolerable that they resigned,” the complaint says.
The complaint also alleges Tesla has been ignoring “years of complaints from Black workers”.
“These numerous complaints by Black and/or African American workers about racial harassment, racial discrimination, and retaliation lodged over a span of almost a decade have been futile,” the lawsuit reads.
From a lawsuit by workers:
A new report highlights the disturbing racist and discriminatory treatment Black employees were allegedly subjected to at Tesla's flagship California plant.

The report shares accounts from three former workers included in a class-action lawsuit against Tesla filed by California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) in February, LA Times reports. A single mother, an Army veteran, and a former refinery worker described being fired after complaining about the rampant racism and harassment on display at Tesla’s Fremont, Calif., factory.
The former plant workers recalled instances where Black workers were called the N-word on the assembly line, forced to work in a segregated area of the factory called “the plantation”, and even being terminated after being called “monkeys” by a manager.
Another shocking claim from a number of Black employees reports that they were allegedly “moved to the back of the plant” when Elon Musk, Tesla CEO would visit the facility. It was reportedly done because “they didn’t want a Black face up there.”
Monica Chatman, Kimberly Romby, and Nigel Jones detailed accounts of being tormented at work in the form of racial slurs in English and Spanish, homophobic harassment, being overworked and underpaid, as well as forced into the hardest jobs without little to no promotion.
After bringing their concerns to the company, the workers say they were either fired or ignored.
From the lawsuit by a Tesla shareholder:
A Tesla investor has accused CEO Elon Musk and the board of directors of damaging shareholders by ignoring a “toxic workplace culture” that has taken hold at the company, according to a complaint f…

"The complaint slams the board as well as Musk individually, asserting that the billionaire “either knew, was reckless, or was grossly negligent in disregarding the illegal activity of such substantial magnitude and duration.”"
Of course Musk isn't gonna have shyt on paper that implicates him directly. But the complaints of racism from Black workers were incredible, and were made over the course of years, and nothing was done.
