Aaaaaaaand turns out the Amendola deal was in place before that deal so Wes had to go begging, shows how much they valued him.
Dumervil needs to come roll with the winners.

RT @ShannonSharpe: I think E.Dumervil agent tried to pull a fast one on the Broncos. The agent knew the contract would be guaranteed at 4.00 eastern.
You guys just need to chill. You are a year or two away from getting your cap situation straight...

32.5 million in dead money..![]()

probably to let other teams know that he is willing to negotiate something better than 8 million(as his min.) and the 14 or so that he was getting before.

Yeah, because literally telling another team wouldn't work.
We got a lotta work to do, our GM doin it tho.![]()
Not the Broncos - his agent didn't have the contract sent over in time and they had to release him to avoid the cap hit.
Probably a sneak move by his agent to let Elvis hit the market.
you you think his agent decided instead of taking a 4 million pay cut it was better taking a 9 million pay cut?You guys just need to chill. You are a year or two away from getting your cap situation straight...

Reggie is doing a hell of a job. I have not really looked, but that 30 some odd million has to come off the books fairly soon... So like I said you guys are going to be in good shape in the next year or two...

If true he should take his agent to court.
he was probably trying to stick the broncos in a position where they pay the full salary or cut him.
figuring either a) he gets the broncos to suck it up and pay the 14 mill
or
b) lets other teams know what they are working for
Broncos only wanted to pay 8 mil but on the open market he could probably get maybe 9-10 instead
