On the heels of one of the more egregious agent blunders in recent times, free-agent defensive end Elvis Dumervil is looking for new representation.
Dumervil's agent, Marty Magid, told NFL.com's Ian Rapoport that he was fired by the player on Saturday
The Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson, who first reported the split, said no hard feelings exist between the two, but in light of Friday's fax-machine hijinks, the sides have agreed to part ways.
Magid also told Rapoport he waived his NFL Players Association-mandated right for a five-day waiting period before officially being fired. This allows Dumervil to test the free agency waters immediately.
Dumervil now looks to recoup some, if not all, of the $8 million per year he agreed to with the Denver Broncos prior to his release. NFL Network's Michelle Beisner reported Saturday that interest in Dumervil is sparse, but Wilson reported that three teams -- the Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans -- are already eyeing the 29-year-old pass rusher.
