They wasn't that good when he was in there. Crumbling.
It's not that hard to show out in the regular season. The playoffs are a different animal. I'm not saying Embid is a scrub, but based on his time in Philly, How many players have come and gone. Who has elevated their game because of him? What was his impact on Ben Simmons? A superstar big man, yet Jimmy Butler didn't want to stay long term. No. 1 Pick in Fultz bushed. Where was his leadership?
I rip Towns a lot, but at lease players like playing with him. I don't see that with Embid. He's a fraud to be honest. He puts up his numbers, but at the end of the day, you can't run shyt through him. He complains too much. I remember when Harden first arrived and he was overjoyed about all the space he was seeing for the first time. He was more worried about how Harden coming in was benefiting HIM. And of course he threw Simmons under the bus after last season.
Butler leaving had nothing to do with Embiid, which is why him and Jimmy are still close. Butler didn’t like Brett Brown and him and Simmons clashed.
Embiid also had nothing to do with Fultz forgetting how to shoot. No one is fixing something like that
The fact that the Sixers didn’t absolutely implode this year with all the drama surrounding Simmons is a testament to Embiid’s leadership. Why ignore that while focusing on a bunch of things that were out of Embiid’s control?
Embiid called out the entire team after the ATL series, including himself. Ain’t that what ya’ll always praise MJ and other leaders for doing?
Maxey went from averaging 8 points a game to 17 points and is emerging as a potential future star. You don’t think his improvement had anything to do with Embiid?
Who besides Simmons has said they don’t like playing with Embiid? You have a source on that or are you just talking out of your ass?
Speaking of Simmons, Embiid changed up his entire style of play to accommodate him. The reason why Embiid can shoot a three and a midrange is because he spent his entire career so far playing with a point guard who refused to shoot. So why ignore that?
