No doubt Scott Storch made hits on his own but to me those hits were still nowhere on the level of the music he made with Dre musically or compositionally (Still Dre, Poppin Them Thangs, Start From Scratch) .
Stortch was on start from scratch? Shyt. That beat was amazing. Even the middle school me knew it was the best on the album

Always loved these two joints. I thInk 8 mile was Eminem peak as a producer and rapper

Man 50 floated so effortlessly on everything around this era :whoo:

Had to double check and yeah Eminem produced this joints but I also forgot the name Luis resto.

If you look his name appears as co producer on a lot of Eminem productions. So maybe he was the guy mainly doing everything:jbhmm:

Yea i think it was resto. All his production credits cite additional keyboards. He could have been doing most of the programming and live piano work while bass brothers did the guitars and other instruments.

He had a few decent cuts, but mostly it was too dreary and bland sounding

I liked this one

As a producer, Eminem's best beats were on "The Eminem Show", because he still had the Bass Brothers and DJ Head helping him. You ever notice how his beats went to shyt after those guys left? Well, thats the reason why.

He has had some good beats after "The Eminem Show" and "8 Mile", but he produced them with Luis Resto.

if anything eminem is overrated as a producer. if he wasnt a rapper no one would ever have to endure thru his trash beats.

i'm still salty as fukk for what he did to pac's legacy on loyal to the game :pacspit:

i can honestly say that i have never heard a beat by him that i like, which does not mean that he is wack but my ears kinda say he is though..his drumbeats sound basic(patterns are elementary and boring),his instrumentation is basic(sounds like GM presets) and his chord progressions are sleep inducing because he seems to always end up with minor chords in a half or single bar loop which makes it sound even more repetitive and depressing..no..no..no.no..He can get away with it i guess:yeshrug:

Most of Eminem's production sounds cheesy. It's as if he's just combining a few royalty free loops then adding some soulless plodding drum.

Imagine an Eminem sound kit, lmao.

I personally think Eminem made some incredible beats. He has corny stuff to though but he's def not wack on the boards to me.
