I'd actually place dudes like Migos or ur average Dr. Seuss, Mother Goose simplfied mumble rap in the culture vulture category before i put Em there. (yes u can be black and still be a culture vulture, Puff, Birdman etc are examples of that)

Vanilla Ice is a culture culture, Eminem is actually talented (although the music he's made lately is terrible, lyrically he's always been elite) and could be put on a track with Nas, Jay-Z, Kool G Rap, Biggie, Pun and not be outshined and embarassed.

Those mumble rappers you guys dikkride these days would all look out of place on a track with those artist mentioned.

Eminem said the N Word on the leaked tape, no one can make that acceptable in any way...but do you really think he's racist? Be honest. Do you really think he dislikes black people as a race? I am leery of every white person, I suggest that you be the same, and I cant give him a pass for the tape, but I'm just curious if y'all that hate the guy really believe that he is a racist, because I dont get that from him at all

Vultures show up after the prey is dead to pick the carcass clean after the work was already put in, they just show up to consume, yes?

So to make that analogy of 'culture vulture', that person would have to exhibit similar behavior. Basically to come along, invest nothing into the kill and only concern themselves with consumption and benefiting from the work that was already put in. I don't know what you do or don't know about his charity work has to do with the fact that Eminem has been creating and investing in his craft for over half his life.

Now Post Malone went from being a youtube comedian, folk singer to putting cornrows in his hair, wearing a grill and making one of the laziest cliche rap songs centered around a black icon that he wasn't even really familiar with in real time. And nikkas (on here and in general) gave it a 'pass' because it was a wave, it was a bop! Now he's one of the biggest artists in music telling people that if you want emotional depth and substance, you won't find it in Hip Hop.

Funny enough Post Malone was enabled by other culture vultures, people who create NOTHING but feel entitled to claiming allegiance to a creative movement because they consume music, or just happen to be black. OP probably fits that culture vulture bill more than Eminem does.

You're completely ignoring the work 50 put in mixtape wise, which put him in the position he is in now, stop with the revisionism

Everybody was trying to sign 50 off of Guess Who's Back, 50 Cent is the future etc....

I can tell you're a gateway fan

First off.. I been an Eminem/Shady Records fan since 2000. I remember everything. Yes, 50 was hot in the streets... But so we're other artists at the time. Everyone needed that "one" hit to put them over and 50 had that with In Da Club. Wanksta was a good buzz single but it wasn't "THEE" single. Wanksta isn't some international hit record. I'm pretty sure the real gateway fans forgot that song even existed.

And actually you're wrong. Most labels were trying to stay away from 50 after he got shot. 50 even said that himself. shyt, that's why Columbia dropped him. He had too much beef in the streets and labels wanted no parts with him. Plus he was getting blackballed by murder inc and that's why he got dropped from the J. Lo record and replaced with Nas.

Now stop dap fishing and picking fights lil nikka :rudy: I bet I just told you a whole bunch of shyt you ain't know.

wanksta was a commercial smash and was the most popular rap single thru the fall of 2002.

if he doesn't perform wanksta anymore, that's his stupidity.
i'd imagine that his original fanbase generally hasn't checked for any of his concerts in over a decade anyway. dude been a hardcore POP rapper since 2005.

Wanksta didn't age well. That's why it gets no play. And breh .. "the most popular song thru 2002" ? You're bugging. I remember 2002 like it was yesterday cuz it was arguably my favorite year in hip-hop. In Da Club, Lose Yourself, Pump It Up, Get Low by Lil Jon, Made You Look by Nas, Bonnie & Clyde w Jay & Bey, Hot in Herre by Nelly, etc etc.. were all bigger than Wanksta. That's not to say it wasn't hot, but it wasn't the hottest of the hot that year. I hate when y'all kids try to rewrite history and wanna turn around call nikkas like me kids :skip:

LOL. buddy listed "bonnie & clyde".:laff:

lol @ me being a kid. I was out of high school already before wanksta dropped.
wanksta didn't age well to whom?:mjpls:

I CLEARLY said it was the most popular rap song in the FALL of 2002. not the entire year, but now that you mention it, you can argue it amongst the entire year.
and by popular, im talking amongst the urban community. I don't let outsiders dictate whats hot like you dudes do on this board nowadays.

only revisionist in here is you, with some of your list being songs that WE really didn't rock with LIKE THAT.
worst of all, half of your list is 2003 singles, but you claim you remember 2002 like it was yesterday:laugh:

i just wish white people/Jews would stop perverting the culture. in the early 90s it was X hats and Africa medallions and black pride. ascending. now it’s in a dumb decline. those middle men Jews are the perverted gatekeepers of mainstream hip hop. hip hop should not look like this mainstream in 2018. soft feminine black men and oversexualized black women.
