That's the true stans of any artist who they worship, it's cool to be a fan but it gets weird when you can't criticize the art if it's wack or not. Em's last album was better than his past 3 albums, and i still listen to some songs off of it like the intro.

In my opinion there is nothing wrong with being critical. I assume artists don’t expect everyone to like their music. However, there is a big difference between being critical(intellectually pointing out aspects of the production, or lyrics that you do not like that can prompt intelligent conversation), and putting all that bass in your fingers to tell an artist that his/her music is trash.

I still like a good portion of Em's music, and there's also a good portion that i can't tolerate anymore. Most of the weird stuff from the past he has made does not get played by me. Music is all subjective anyways, people like different stuff.

regardless of my cynicism towards each new release, I am still a fan and will give props when warranted.

We know what he's capable of, but he rather go elsewhere at times (be it by his own or label interference). He still has the spark at times, when given proper direction or when he seems inspired.

You act like you either gotta be a stan or hater. I'm a fan, not a stan nor hater.

If he got bullshyt bars, I'mma call it..or shytty beats, I'll call it. Same if it's dope.
