Its not horrible. Just not neededand doesn't add anything to the genre. Very forgettable.
This....even on the track Zeus when Eminem tries to warn Drake about industry/fans is so poor compared to jay-z verse on light up which is about similar topic

I don't know about that and I believe that ship has sailed about 15-16 yrs ago for Dre to even push that experiment. Personally, I don't think a Em/50 collab album would go over very well. I wasn't impressed with the few tracks they did together in their prime: Gatman & Robbin' for example. Now the track they were on together Psycho, off the BISD album was dope.

The problem is 50 was done musically after 2009 and nobody is checking for his music and he acts like an overgrown 40+ yr old teen on IG. Then the other shyt he says & does... I'm good.
The crazy shyt there is that if 50 wanted to he couldn’t have a pretty decent little musical revival if he went back to making goon shyt that he’s very comfortable making. If 50 announced tomorrow that he was dropping a project with production from the names we all like on the indie scene, I’d actually be hyped for it.

50’s always had a dope ear for production, and when he doesn’t try to force a hit, a lot of his album cuts sound very catchy. Most of us can sing the hooks to a lot of deep album cuts by 50.

I’m not dying for music from him, but at the same time I’d rather he focus on that than just being a troll on IG

This guy releases complete trash time in time out...how can ya'll keep giving this clown the benefit of the doubt :dead:

Awful voice and flow, the most awful music sensbility of any major rapper ever. turgid beats, cringe inducing hooks, corny punchlines....i can't think of another so called legend who makes less appealling music. Utter trash artist.

Yet here you are in his thread

If you combine these tracks with everything from Side A, that makes for one shytty double album. Wait, technically, is this like Eminem's double album? :scusthov:

It's cool that he's dropping material more frequently, but this deluxe album wasn't necessary. MTBMB was already uneven and inconsistent, and unfortunately, this sounds more like the second half of that album than the first half. Some of the songs here literally sound like unfinished demos, like Eminem heard the skeleton of the beat and just rapped whatever he could think of over it. There's nothing here as good or as thought out as "You Gon' Learn" or "Darkness" or "I Will." The only songs that sound like they could have been on Side A are "She Loves Me," "Zeus," and "Discombobulated." They actually have some polish and energy to them. Honestly, I was getting Revival vibes from these songs. :francis:

I will say this: The Dre beats actually sound like Dre worked on them. They have that bounce to them that he's known for. "Discombobulated" sounded like it was recorded for Relapse, and I was like :ooh: when it came on because Eminem sounded exactly like he did on that album. But then it kept going and by the end, I didn't care anymore because of how much they kept playing around with the beat switches. :unimpressed:

I don't want to crucify Eminem like most of Coli but honestly this is pretty terrible.
Eminem is an amazing MC but the beats are awful and the song writing is just wack.
This motherfukker has the best producers sending him beats and always picks the worst ones when he does a track with them.
How do you have more dated beats than you did on your 2002 album?
I was even excited after the fake tracklist to hear Royce and Cordae
Tone Deaf might be the worst song I've heard this year.
Alright..alright..I've read enough. I'll let it play in the background tonight.

I notice this a lot with Eminem's verses in his later years where I can read something like that and I'm like :damn:. That's legitimate wordplay, clever and creative. But then I hear the song where he says that exact same thing and I'm like :ld:because the flow/delivery isn't nearly as good as the actual writing.

Something like "Superman" is way too simple for him to do. Eminem is an overthinker, a perfectionist and he over compensates for his lack of musicality with his pen. I said something like that earlier to @TheDarceKnight, but Eminem used to be a great artist, and one of the reasons was because of how smooth and effortless he sounded on the mic. Now, he sounds like he's going to get shot if he doesn't prove he's the greatest rapper of all-time on every track.

I was thinking about how simple it would be to have a Bad Meets Evil track with Premier on production. Especially since we know now that Eminem can get Premier to work with him. But I don't think like Eminem does. :francis:
Great takes in here. Thx for the tag and you nailed it too. I heard someone use the analogy that drum solos are dope but no one wants to hear a full album of just drum solos; and that essentially Em is just releasing the hip-hop version of albums filled with drum solos.

I that that’s the perfect analogy. It’s like you said, he’s trying to prove he’s the best rhymer ever on every verse.
