I notice this a lot with Eminem's verses in his later years where I can read something like that and I'm like

. That's legitimate wordplay, clever and creative. But then I hear the song where he says that exact same thing and I'm like

because the flow/delivery isn't nearly as good as the actual writing.
Something like "Superman" is way too simple for him to do. Eminem is an overthinker, a perfectionist and he over compensates for his lack of musicality with his pen. I said something like that earlier to
@TheDarceKnight, but Eminem used to be a great artist, and one of the reasons was because of how smooth and effortless he sounded on the mic. Now, he sounds like he's going to get shot if he doesn't prove he's the greatest rapper of all-time on every track.
I was thinking about how simple it would be to have a Bad Meets Evil track with Premier on production. Especially since we know now that Eminem can get Premier to work with him. But I don't think like Eminem does.
