:francis:STARTING THE ALBUM OFF
WITH A SOFT ASS BEAT
AND SKYLAR GREY CHORUS
COMPLETELY RUINED THE VIBE OFF GP.

THERES A FEW NICE TRACKS ON HERE
BUT ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE
TO THE A SIDE.

THE BEATS DID A 180.

THE A SIDE CAME ON
WHEN THE ALBUM REPEATED
AND IT WAS KINDA DAY & NIGHT.

ILL TRY IT AGAIN NEXT WEEK.

Great takes in here. Thx for the tag and you nailed it too. I heard someone use the analogy that drum solos are dope but no one wants to hear a full album of just drum solos; and that essentially Em is just releasing the hip-hop version of albums filled with drum solos.

I that that’s the perfect analogy. It’s like you said, he’s trying to prove he’s the best rhymer ever on every verse.

Thank you. That's the vibe I get from him on this album and a lot of other songs he's been making for years now. He adds all these tricks to his bars and he uses supersonic speed because it's almost like he's trying to distract you from the fact that he's just coming up with anything. That is, when he's not getting behind that ass like the Heimlich or committing suicide in the sky like a depressed seagull.

That quote you paraphrased from Evidence was spot-on. :obama: It makes no sense to me. This guy is worth millions (people love saying Eminem doesn't talk about money, but he always reminds us that he can wipe his ass with $100 bills), and has resources that most artists can only dream of getting. He could put together a fantasy album featuring his all-time favorite rappers and producers. Battle with Kane, Rakim, and G. Rap on the same track, pay for the kind of soul and funk samples that they were using in the '80s, get some real underground, rough beats with a lot of space in them. He could even have someone like DJ Jazzy Jeff just spin his records on a track that pays respect to old-school DJs. But instead, he gets beats from Skyler Grey, picks the worst beats he can from top-shelf producers (Alchemist, Just Blaze) and has a guy like DJ Premier just scratch on a beat that he didn’t even make. :hhh:

That Gnat song is kinda catchy, especially the hook. The 2nd part switch up is dope. I prefer The A Side over the B side, but i give it a 6.5/10.
