Prove 70% of rap albums are bought by whites. If not, nothing to discuss. It makes much more sense to say whites buy 70% of music total, but 70% of rap albums? Nope...and no one has proved me wrong yet.

White people certainly don't buy 70% of Rnb and Neo Soul, Neo Soul especially.

I see a lot of angry people in here. Em being a success shouldn't make you so pissed off. It's kinda of pathetic. I would say the same for people that were mad at Jay-Z and Drake doing well. It sounds like the whining of a bunch of little kids no matter how it comes out. You don't like the artist? Fine. But, don't give me that "it's white support" argument. No shyt it's white support. That's how it is for every major act. Even in the 1990s, do you think Dre, Snoop and 2Pac were seeing those numbers strictly from "the hood?" Hell no. There was bootlegging back then from some guy selling outside the barbershop for $5.00. They crossed over and had young white kid's ears. Why do you think they were the center of controversy back then? It was hardcore Hip-Hop that caught the ear of kids in Middle America and mommy and daddy didn't like that. So the point I'm making is get your heads out of your collective asses.

Right... These same white people were the ones buying all the rap albums in the last 90s

The music has fallen off a cliff and is nowhere near as good as it used to be... All rap is now is about bytches, bottles, and smoking weed (which most of them don't even actually do), there is no creativity anymore. At least Eminem raps about things outside of those three subjects!

You're kidding right? He talks about killing women, raping women, doing drugs, looking for trannies, and other absurd unrealistic stuff. He's no better when it comes to content.

Not one song on just MMLP 2 is completely centered around a single thing that you just said.

"bubububu Eminem raps about things that relate to my every day life. I don't have spinners or gangster friends, so all other rap is just not for me"

That 70% of rap bought by CAC's is bullshyt. If you look at the mid to late 90's when rappers when platinum and gold easy as fukk, white people were not fukking with rap like that. Whites as a whole didn't start listening to rap like that until the early 2000's

I lived a lot of my life in the suburbs. This is not true at all. I've seen white people driving around listening to rap since I was born.

Read the rest of the thread. Does anyone here interact with others outside of their own little social circle? There's white redneck types at Storrs and when I see them discussing music, it's not Eminem. They listen to either country or angry rock shyt. I'd be surprised if these types were listening to something like MMLP2.

I'd figure most of Eminem's sales are still coming from the 16-30 crowd of all races. Definitely Asians too.

Centered? I never said that. He still has lyrics referring to those topics.

Yes except you were replying to him as if Eminem is just like every other rapper, solely talking about such things. Eminem has had more variety of content in his music than 99% of any rappers.
