We know that anyone who got any kind of radio play whites were all over it. I'm not disputing your post because you are right about AZ and artists on that level... I've never met a white person who has an AZ album but I have met a few who have The Firm. Still, look at someone like Wayne... every white person on campus was listening to him, I wouldn't doubt if whites made up the majority of his sales.. I go out to NYC and I don't see people playin a Wayne album like that.
I know alot of whites buy people like Wayne, 50 Cent when he was on like that, G-Unit in general etc. But these were HUGE rap stars at one time, and doesn't account for even 5% of all the rap sold in the U.S. on a yearly basis. My thing is this, people for years have said that whites make up 70% of rap's consumers. I'd be fine with this, if there was actually proof of this. But unless people's nationality are being scanned with each purchase, there isn't a way to prove that. We can't just look at whites' population in the U.S. because I'm sure the number who actually listen to rap is drastically low per capita.

Drake is R&B half the time, he just happens to be a good rapper, or you could say he is a Hip hop artist with a heavy R&B influence, point is atleast you can make a reasonable argument about that. Em is hip hop, mostly because he is better at it than your favorite rapper and he knows it. you just mad he did what most cant.. you should applaud EM just like you applaud drake, just cuz you dont prefer his style doesnt mean you cant respect em.
