Eminem is quite possibly the WORST representation of Hip Hop walking the earth today. Absolutely disgusting that he's even in the conversation of Hip Hop heavyweights and legends. Nothing more than a 21st century Pat Boone

But what Eminem is doing now is what hip hop is based on.....u may have your opinion on if you like it or not,, but hes straight spittin these days....

Craig Jenkins and that one other dude are the only people on Pitchfork that have any sense when it comes to hip hop. If one of those people who only rate indy rock rated it, he would've gotten a 9. But like I've said before, it's not that all the white people listen to Eminem that don't listen to other rappers. It's that white people who listen to Eminem frequently have no conception of hip hop AND he draws in a large group of people who don't like rap but love Eminem. What's more disgusting in the Em stans in here pretending like this dude hasn't been dropping garbage for a decade while outselling everyone.

That's why the hottest emcees list always forgets him, it's because he exists more in the pop-lane than hip hop lane. He is of literal relevance to hip hop culture whatsoever these days.
