Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
So I take a vicodin splash it hits my stomach and ah :ahh:
A couple weeks go by it ain't even like I'm getting high
Now I need it just not to feel sick ya I'm getting by
Wouldn't even be taking this shyt if deshaun didn't die
Oh ya there's an excuse you lose proof so you use
There's new rules it's cool if it's helping you to get through
It's twelve noon ain't no harm in self inducing a snooze :whoa:
What else is new? fukk it, what would Elvis do in your shoes?
Now here I am three months later full blown relapse
Just get high until the kids get home from two homes relax
And since I'm convinced that I'm insomniac I need these pills to be able to sleep so I take 3 naps :deadrose:
Just to be able to function throughout the day let's see
That's an Ambien each nap how many Valium? Three.
And that will average out to about one good hours sleep
OK, so now you see the reason how come he
Has taken four years just to put out an album beat
See me and you we almost had the same outcome heath :sadbron:
Cause that Christmas you know the pneumonia thing
It was Bologna was it the methadone ya think
Or the hydrocodone you hide inside your pornos
Your VCR tape cases with you Ambient CR great places to hide ain't it
So you can lie to Hallie
I'm going beddy bye Whitney baby good night Alaina
Go in the room and shut the bedroom door and wake up in ambulance
They said they found me on the bathroom floor... Damn :dead:

Deja Vu and Hello should've gotten singles.

It was a solid 9. Dre really fit Eminems crazy azz flows on that album. Dre is general is a perfectionist but for the production is always really clean and fresh. Em for the most part should have never strayed from Dre. I think Relapse is Ems 2nd best album.

If you look back at Em's older albums dre usually only had a 3 or 4 joints per album really. That was the first time he really did a WHOLE album and it came out dope as fukk, just not what the mainstream was looking for.

The joint they just dropped on compton proves that he brings the most balance out of Em as an MC. I would love a new album from him if it's going to be similar to medicine man.

Never really noticed the beats until now, i'd rate them 8 or 9. This album and Recovery are the only 2 i never really listened to, I gave Relapse another shot in my car after reading this thread on the way to buy some weed and its actually got a lot of great tracks.

Definitely agree with the 'its just not a mainstream album' thing. I never listened to Relapse after hearing my friends bytch about his voice whenever they played it, I never actually sat down and gave it a try like I did for all his other albums. People probably talk more out of their ass about eminem than any other rapper, everyone seems to think they know him better than he does.

and although MMLP2 has a lot of wack tracks, its also got some dope stuff

I don't think hes fallen off as much as anyone thinks.

I'll always blame the people that hyped up eminem's verse on Forever for all this yelling and corny punchlines he's done since. That's where it all started.

Very good point. I never understood the hype and praise for that verse. It almost seemed like the people who loved it hadn't heard anyone ever rap fast before. Double time rap is Eminem's weakest skill as an emcee so I don't get why he crutches to it all the time.

Great album.

Was this song for Relapse or Relapse 2? I can't remember when it leaked.

The type of song you don't wanna listen to, but it's a great song.

this wasn't for either album. it wasn't suppose to come out at all. it was recorded during his pilled out phase and some hacker got access to it and leaked it back around when the Bad Meets Evil EP came out.

umm...

and i love those two songs u listed....but stay wide awake is just pure art. You don't know how much I would love to see the studio session for this joint and just watch nikkas reactions to that 2nd verse...

fukk, forgot that too. That second verse where he basically rhymed every single bar was just unreal.
