I haven't fukked with Em in any capacity in a long time but "Stay Wide Awake" is crazy. I can't hate on it. Thoughts on this track?

song is ridiculous

the thing is i dont know if the concept of this album really woulda worked without the accents. like, he was supposed to be a fukkin weirdo :heh:

8/10. That album would've been better without the accent nonsense but it has plenty of heat regardless. The last time Eminem was actually Eminem instead of a corny pop rapper

The last shinning sun I could feel for EM. :to:

The unique flows, the creativity, the imagery, the story telling... :banderas:

It's quite tragic when you think about his current stuff. They played an Em track at the end of that Denzel movie and I legit went :scust:. What happened to this man ability to craft music?

Production from Dre was fire 9/10

Should have traded old times sake for Hell Brakes Loose and left Crack a Bottle and we made you off the album. My Darling should've been the intro.
Hello should've been a single. Album had classic potential when think about the joints left off.

I actually liked Recovery. But I miss Relapse Em. Now he's making triumph records and double timing to oblivion. He's got nothing else left so he double times saying absolutely nothing.

how the fukk was my darling not on the cd :mindblown: listen to this potential transition if you cut off the first verse :wow:

mcnulty on the intro :banderas:

I made a custom copy that starts with Dr. West/My Darling and then 3 AM.

Got rid of crack a bottle (got shoehorned in because it leaked and then charted) and added the two points bonus joints and the album basically plays front to back like a movie almost. Still not perfect but it's borderline.

Rep @ the bold.

"my equilibrium's off must be the litiuim
I don't need to buy any drugs cause people gimmie em"

One of the few songs I saw hood nikkas gravitate to. He was swaggin on that shyt and would have made a much better first single than the goofy "we made you" joint.

I still kept we made you on the custom copy though because it fits the album...he stays going hard on broads in his music, gets criticized for being a misogynist yet the only reason he became such a star is because broads though he was cute :heh:

The video def improves upon the visuals in the song lol

People weren't used to him doing all these weird accents so it got shytted on just for being differrent from all the shyt that he had put out until then. Production-wise it's definitely up there with MMLP, if not better. Lyrically it's crazy too, but I understand that the theme of the album maybe gets boring to some after a while.

You gotta remember also that a few months later he was supposed to release Relapse 2 which was the rest of the tracks that he recorded with Dre during that period. It never came out because of the bad reviews of the first one but combining the best tracks of Relapse and Refill, imo you get a classic.
