Don't plan on listening anytime in immediate future, but this always make me laugh, and is best description of Eminem's music, recently, and more or less how I always felt about it.

“Even at his peak, his rapping was never melodious, but at his nadir, he has all the musicality of a leaf-blower.:deadmanny: The production functions simply, like a stopwatch: It’s there to tell him when to start and when to stop, and occasionally a juiced-up power-rock chorus interrupts him. Submitting production to an Eminem album must feel, for a producer, something like a novelist feeding their manuscript into a wood chipper. On the one hand, you are guaranteed unprecedented exposure, and on the other, you are all but ensuring that no one will notice a note of your work.”

Also, a decent write up on how Relapse shaped the current Em, if anyone is that interested.

can you post this so i can get in it pause

Encore is a bad album, but it still had the things that made Em a star in the 1st place (great flow, unique sense of humor, amusing world play, Dre/Bass brothers type beats)

Revival has none of that. He had zero charisma and sounded like he was relearning how to rap with shytty stop and go flows

And it also has some of the worst beats I've heard. Encore had good production.

Encore at least has songs I genuinely love. I was just listening to "Love You More" earlier this week. His addiction was starting to get out of hand, but there's still signs of prime Eminem on that album.

Revival is just........I really need someone to ask him what he was going through when he made that. Bringing back Rick Rubin was a mistake. Trying to make a worse version of Recovery was a mistake. Having all your features be pop/R&B singers was a mistake. Sounding like a child molester on almost every track was a mistake.

Seriously, that's one of the worst things about the album. On Encore, he was strung out on pills and still knew how to deliver lines. On Revival, he sounds gross. Legitimately creepy, like he has something stuck in his throat and he spends the entire album trying to get rid of it. His flow is completely shot, he raps like he needs a hearing aid. At some point, I'm worried he's trying to put himself on a list of sex offenders.

I like the Slim Shady tracks on here like Offended and Framed. Probably not a popular stance.
