That's the exact opposite of what I was getting at.

Re-read that quote, I was saying that from the two tracks I've heard so far, and the features it's leaning a bit more toward the recovery sound, it doesn't look like I worded it weird, not to mention I've been complaining the whole thread so I don't know how that signal got mixed.

Yea it wasn't real clear in that post imo. You made a paragraph talking about Relapse/Refill, then briefly mentioned that you were disappointing with Recovery. Then said MMLP2 was leaning more towards "that" sound, without being specific. My bad on interpreting it wrong though - maybe I should've paid attention to your other posts too

I've done everything BUT "like everything he drops" since relapse/refill, and i'll stand by that project being dope as fukk in my opinion, has nothing to do with lowered standards, I enjoyed the album a lot and was pretty disappointed with the next. This new project seems to be leaning more toward that sound.

You missed the sarcasm?
Lol are you for real? The whole song is serious, and there is definitely no sarcasm at all in those lines. Those whole couple of lines are talking about how critics go back and re-rate albums or they are viewed as classics later on (think albums like Illmatic that didn't sell much - which he brings up, and Reasonable Doubt - that also didn't sell much and people weren't overly impressed with when it came out - but after they review it again they realize it's a classic). And he is saying that he thinks people will view Encore as a great album after going back and revisiting it down the line. He says "enough time just aint passed yet" for people to appreciate it. I don't see any sarcasm in there.

Like, dudes will skip "Rap God" "Legacy" "Love Game" (assuming these titles are legit what he will spit about, and not something silly - never know with Em) and gravitate straight to a Rihanna collab. Dudes look for tracks to bytch about off a tracklist.

I will say that I was hoping Survival was just a bonus track (though the song aint that bad) and for the classic skits from SSLP and MMLP to come back, but Im not about to sit here and trip off of freaking skits not being on an album.

Agreed. Also, why are people bytching about the Rihanna collab? Wasn't his last song with Rihanna the biggest hit song of that year?

Yea it was also a crap song. Again people up bringing up sales that have no relevance to quality SMH

I do think Rihanna could be involved in a good song, but that's if it is more of a drug/party/fun type of song (like those Dina Rae songs), rather than some corny romance/pop song.

shyts on every drake pop croonin song.. em the most versatile MC of all time.. wanna compare the lyrics to drakes songs?

I can't tell you what it really is
I can only tell you what it feels like
And right now it's a steel knife in my windpipe
I can't breathe but I still fight while I can fight
As long as the wrong feels right it's like I'm in flight
High off a love, drunk from my hate,
It's like I'm huffing paint and I love it the more I suffer, I suffocate
And right before I'm about to drown, she resuscitates me
She fukking hates me and I love it.
Wait! Where you going?
"I'm leaving you!"
No you ain't. Come back we're running right back.
Here we go again
It's so insane cause when it's going good, it's going great
I'm Superman with the wind at his back, she's Lois Lane
But when it's bad it's awful, I feel so ashamed I snapped
Who's that dude?
"I don't even know his name."
I laid hands on her, I'll never stoop so low again
I guess I don't know my own strength

Has nothing to do with the same formula...If you're gonna go with everything from a familiar hairstyle, cover, album name...you would think that it the album's tracklist would draw some kind of connection as well, it ain't rocket science b...nobody told him to name it this, shyt is a marketing ploy.

I see what you're saying. However, I can personally let it slide, or else I'd have to jump up and down over the sequels to Jay-Z's Blueprint album not matching the previous efforts in that same vein.
