Yea it wasn't real clear in that post imo. You made a paragraph talking about Relapse/Refill, then briefly mentioned that you were disappointing with Recovery. Then said MMLP2 was leaning more towards "that" sound, without being specific. My bad on interpreting it wrong though - maybe I should've paid attention to your other posts too

I mentioned being disappointed in recovery right before saying that this new album is starting to sound more like that than any of his other albums.

Lol are you for real? The whole song is serious, and there is definitely no sarcasm at all in those lines. Those whole couple of lines are talking about how critics go back and re-rate albums or they are viewed as classics later on (think albums like Illmatic that didn't sell much - which he brings up, and Reasonable Doubt - that also didn't sell much and people weren't overly impressed with when it came out - but after they review it again they realize it's a classic). And he is saying that he thinks people will view Encore as a great album after going back and revisiting it down the line. He says "enough time just aint passed yet" for people to appreciate it. I don't see any sarcasm in there.

Sarcasm doesn't negate the serious tone of the record. If you think that what he was trying to get across is that people will eventually look back fondly @ encore as some sort of masterpiece event I think you missed the point. He just spent the whole verse talking about the hypocritical nature of fame and goes on to address the hypocrisy of CRITICS that came with getting what he "wished for", the illmatic comparison was obvious hyperbole.

I don't think he was trying to tell us that he thinks encore is some how an under appreciated classic...he wasn't really addressing his views, he's talking about the media and really how fickle and full of shyt critics are in general.
