To me it's kind of damned if you do, damned if you don't.

On one hand, people act like Em just rhymes random words and never talks about anything. And with all the shyt going on, if he dropped an album without talking about the social climate, he's going to get criticized for not addressing the elephant in the room.

Then if/when he does address it...people gonna go into the particulars about what's appropriate, what's pandering ect. White people who speak up about racism are always going to run the risk of doing too much or sounding like they are trying to speak for black folk even if that's not the intent.

You just can't have a political album with fukkin pink, Ed shareen and styler grey on it. fukk u Em

yup you right, this is literally a slap in the face to the rappers who spoke up against the enemy or the oppressors in their music. this album is looking more and more fabricated than it being "real''.

Its a slap in the face period being that Em was making tracks like foolish pride, it makes me cringe when I hear Em try to stand up for the black cause.Nikkas will criticize Mase for being a pastor and come back to making raps, yet dont say shyt about em Well em need to stick to that college humor white boy lane otherwise he aint shyt and is looking like food out here, awaits a Mase type burial for Em from any random brother......

Good to see Em using his platform for a message like this. Better than I thought it would be, I still can't get into his new flown though.

This definitely needs a video though.

Not what I was getting at, at all but you can get your jokes in.

- Whites who don't speak up about racism are seen as complicit.
- Whites who do speak up about racism run the risk of looking like they're pandering or trying to speak for black people.

Agree or disagree? Do/feel/say whatever you want in regard to Shady.

But again, there are plenty of white MCs who are on the socially conscious tip that does it effortlessly without trying to appear to be pandering or appeasing for black people. I never saw El-P or Zack de la Rocha come off as if they're the voice for black people. Eminem whenever he gets on his Rachel Dolezal sounds forced.... as if he is doing it more to say, "look at me, I love black people and our plight" than just addressing a social issue going on in the communities. The only other person that I say is similar is Macklemore.

that's why Benzino got at him, but i don't know why he apologized for dissing Em.
