Totally agree. If Em was going to make a politically charged album, he should have reached out to Kendrick for direction.. At least let Kendrick provide some creative direction for the tape. Eminem is still a monster lyricist, but his musicianship is totally lost at this point. He needs a mentor.

I could be totally wrong, and maybe he did reach out to Kendrick for consultation since they collaborated on MMLP2

I like it more than anything off MMLP 2 besides Evil Twin maybe.

But like I said with the Intro, this would probably sound better in context of the album, this shouldn't be a "single". But listening to it I feel like it could make for a dope/powerful video, if that's the plan then cool. They really should have just dropped the whole album at once.

Em is surrounded by a lot of yes men that won't challenge him in the studio... He has no one even in the same stratosphere as Jay does with No I.D.

I agree about the Bass Brothers.. They are responsible for Em's two best albums

If he kept it a secret and only tweeted the cover art, tracklist, and have it say “Revival at midnight”

It would have had more impact. The Beyonce record should NOT have been the 1st single. I still feel the label got greedy and thought fans would fall for it.


As for this record. It’s cool. Would have been some shyt if he would have released this after the BET cypher.
