It's crazy cause I feel this is his most lyrical album that doesn't get enough credit. Granted he also experimented a a lot flow wise (which is a plus on this album, ex. 3am, stay wide awake). Although for some reason Em nor the label seem to be a fan of the album and went with more commercial tracks for the follow up (recovery:scust:)

Sure, he was "flowing" on this album, but he was also screaming, yelling, and using accents, over a bunch of beats that simply weren't good. The only thing cool about this album was the videos to the tracks, cause the tracks themselves stunk. Just another notch on Eminem's fledgling catalog post-2003.

It shows u how insecure and impressionable Em is. A few n1ggaz said it sukked and he ran away from his own material and started getting Riri on tracks and using wack punchlines. Deja Vu is one of the goat rap songs imo.

After he dissed this album I stopped fukking with him that day

The label didn't like it because even though it went double plat it was probably the lowest numbers he had up until then because it wasn't for the pop/bandwagon crowd...the shyt was a real live rap album. They shoe-horned crack a bottle in there after the leak to get some radio play but other than that it was pretty fukkin raw.

shyt would be like a rapper trying to drop Dare iz a Darkside in 2010's in the mainstream, they didn't know what to do with that. It's the reason why directly after it we got an Eminem album with standard production and attempts at top 40 hits...I mean he did what he was being asked to do but I wanted more Relapse.

And speaking of DIAD...Relapse is kind of a nod to that album since Redman is such an influence, from the cover to the skits (Dr. Trevis/Dr. West) to the drugged out horror core vibe. Funny enough Redman hates that album because of the drugs and the state of mind he was in which is the same shyt Em said about Relapse.

He kinda pissed me off dissing it and then backtracking on that BME album saying he that he knew he was rappin nice, because he was.

I'd rather listen to Relapse than MMLP.

He was supposed to drop Relpase 2 but scrapped it after he caught feelings because fukkbois wanted that trash he on now :snoop: :mjcry:

Music Box/Buffalo Bill off of refill were fukkin retarded, and I always thought "On Fire" sounded like a Relapse 2 leftover.
