Recovery was the album that all the mainstream folks wanted to hear from him...Which I ain't mad at...Cuz I was curious myself on how Em sounded over Just Blaze beat or a DJ Khalil beat or a Jim Jonsin beat. And Em ripped it while being true to himself..
However, when I heard Love The Way You Lie for the first time I just went
cuz i KNEW it was gonna be a hit...and I just KNEW it was going to be a hit just cuz of Rihanna's hook..and i KNEW that the bytches will love it JUST CUZ OF THE HOOK...Not for what Em was saying...They probably didn't listen to the lyrics anyway they just heard that hook and went

EM gave the "REAL" die hard fans RELAPSE thats vintage EM...
it wasnt recieved commercially well (by EM standars)
so INterscope knowing they can make massive amount of money by EM conforming and making more accesible music is WHY recovery exists...
also everyone was SAYING EM LOST IT (commercially speaking) he want doing crazy numbers like wre used to from him..... Relapse solld LESS THAn C3...

EM wanted to PROVE he could ou tsell EVERYONE... if he just made accesible radio friendly songs like EVErY other superstar hip-hop artist
and thats exactly what he did....

C3 only 3mili WW

its simple concept really... not like its hidden or some shyt
If the-coli spent as much time deciphering RELAPSE and RECOVERY concepts like they do GKMC.. they would appreciate EM's work alot more

Throwing together multis so much that the lines don't make sense or are corny as fukk is not lyrical. Rapping fast is not lyrical either, screaming does not illustrate heart or passion either. It's just what it is rapping fast, screaming and wack lines. Technically it was dope, but that's irrelevant if the technique serves no purpose.
Seduction, 25 to life and maybe 1 or 2 more tracks that's it. out of nearly 20 tracks.
MC Hammer sold 10 million, Vanilla Ice sold 8 million no one ares about your sales if your album is ass breh. Specially since the rapper ain't even seeing 10% of what the album generates and the fans are not seeing shyt either, they are in fact losing 10 bucks. Besides the suburb/trailer park mid-america suburb fubu wearing cacs.

That was his best album period
only album he wasnt on there talking about Brittney Spears and Nsync, or with an accent....u can say u dont like his work, and thats fine...but that was easily his best album hes ever made in my opinion
