Good choice, but that still doesn't make recovery straight garbage

I didn't say it was "straight garbage" I kinda enjoyed it emphasis being on the word kinda I'm a big Em fan so after Relapse I guess I had high hopes

I think it's cause in the fast paste world of the Internet, if something isn't something you can play from intro to outro, two years after it dropped then they remember it as wack, at the time it was a ok decent album. Which means 98% of albums that come out are garbage, except for the rare near classics that drops, those are the only good albums.:skip:

were cool to me. Cold Wind Blows is nice too. The rest....ehhh borders on awful. Em is best when its rappity-rap and generally, worst when theres singing involved. Encore might actually be better.

Youre Never Over's hook :snoop: but that beat is :dwillhuh: :ahh:

Recovery could been a lot better if he just cut out some tracks..

I thought it was an okay album personally... Relapse was :ehh: to me

i havent liked him since all he began to focus on was corny punchlines and doubletime flows--he's not a punchline rapper:what:. that and i hate that alex da kid-style production. i will say when the album dropped on sohh, everyone was praising it. critics too, so i guess thats why he kept doing it. but relapse was dope to me, front to back. the accents didn't really bother me at all.

Em fans shouldn't catch feelings so much about what people on The Coli think.

For one thing, most of the comments here about Eminem are just trolling.

And those that aren't...who cares. Em's solidified his status as one of the greatest rappers of all time. His peers say that about him all time. The vast majority of rap fans agree. Who cares what some random message board dudes think.

Obviously Relapse and Recovery are not Eminem's greatest work...but they are far from trash. They're just okay albums with some really good songs and some really weak aspects.

When it comes down to it, I hate Eminem's screaming corny punchlines more than I hate his weird accent. So Relapse wins for me. On songs like 3AM, Stay Wide Awake and Bagpipes from Baghdad, there's just a joy of rhyming that isn't there on Recovery...Recovery is Em trying too hard.

I liked Relapse more, maybe because Em and Dre were experimenting with different types of styles musically and flow wise. I would understand why some people may not dig that album, i think its his most cohesive. It seemed like an very ambitious project that didn't live up to the ambition, but I dig the effort.

Recovery was :manny: it was just safe Top 40ish type music. It was just bland and kind of boring. My favorite song on the album which is sort of ironic is the Dr. Dre produced So Bad.

To me, Eminem and Snoop are meant to rap on Dre beats, and when they go out of that lane, it can be risky for them.
