they're actually making a good point, regardless of their labels (feminists). they're basically saying there needs to be an alternative to pornography that involves naked women (erotica) since some of the images in pornography depict aggression, domination, submission and exploitation of the female rather than the male. it sets a bad image in people's heads, in this case they're worried about youth who have no real sex education outside of youporn. they talking about creating a new style of depicting women sexually without all the negative associations

Shut the fukk up. This is such a waste of time

You arbitrarily calling porn something that it is not doesn't make it so :mjlol:

Sounds like a failure on the parents and school system and not the porn industry. I wasn't aware it was the porn industry responsibility to educate your kids, especially when it's in the market of selling sexual fantasies, fetishes, and taboos :beli:
well, i'm sure if they build enough of a compelling case, they'll get what they want whether you believe it's the industry's responsibility or not so :francis:

Why cant actors stay in their lane?
I get that she has a lot of free time now that HP is over and no one will hire her, but pls.... STFU
Feminism is useless now (at least in the "western world") Sure it was a good movement when women had no rights, but now they can be anything they want.
She should preach this feminist stuff in the Middle east or in india. Places where feminism is needed

I'm sorry. But this makes no sense to me.

Why does this bother u? Porn is never, ever going out of style. Ever. If anything it's more popular now because it's so accessible. I can't imagine she really thinks she can do away with porn. She's just championing a different lane. In light of some of the crazy, abuse shyt that's popular in porn right now, I get why she would speak up now. At the same time, she has a right to champion whatever cause floats her boat (even if I disagree), no?

Second. Why does she need to stay in her lane? How many fukking opinions do you (and me too, to be real) ramble off every day on The Coli? She needs to stay in her lane because more people listen when she voices her opinion?

Not attacking you or your opinions breh. I guess I just disagree.

The answer is the promotion of cam girls/sex workers producing their own content. The only reason why standard porn industry is so explotitative is because men run it and are mostly the ones buying it.

Amateurs and pro's/former pros creating their own stuff with or without their own male talent is AWESOME, safe and puts the control into the hands of the right people. You may not be able to dominate mainstream porn as is but really, there are lots of "feminists" who create sexual content and regardless of how many people jerk off to it, it takes a lot of creativity and drive to do that for real for real. Nothing wrong with erotica in itself, but it becomes a problem like everything else when big business is running the show.

Shout to Pinky for laying the blueprint for the indepednant porn hustle for women. :salute:

I agree with you in principle, but the reality on the ground is much different IMO. While women are increasingly becoming consumers of porn, men still make up most of the audience and the resulted content is classic supply and demand. As you alluded to more women are taking control of their careers, hence Suze Randall, Suicide Girls, Danni Ashe, Pinky, etc. as producers/directors of adult content, along with and as performers maximizing their income. Here's the irony of it all, the women with larger capital (with more clout than 90% of male performers) appear to be just as into aggressive sex as the males. If you look at the James Deen allegations, some of the accusers have said women assisted him both in covering up and participating. You look at Suicide Girls content, and despite it being run by a woman, with women having much say on what they will and wont do, their content still ends up resulting in really aggressive and disturbing material.

That said, I think Emma Watson is way off here. She concerned about kids learning abuse, sexism, and misogyny through porn and I'm thinking kids shouldnt learn about sex through porn to begin with. On top of that, feminism is NEVER about alternatives, but ALWAYS about control. In this day and age of mass media and information, their battle is increasingly being shifted towards entertainment that has been historically consumed by males. The alternatives she speaks of as if mythical, already exists in books, softcore porn, and even artsy hardcore porn. She speaks on the niche genres(bdsm, frape, bukkake, etc.) as if thats the most popular and the only available content. However this is once again an example of feminism looking to control the discussion through news media, and then force their will on content providers. I think she's overestimating her reach on this one though.

I agree, especially in the bold.

And while I think she's aiming rather high, I don't take her stance as trying to compete with the porn industry as much as put her bid in for depicting sexuality in a way that doesn't upset the people who feel like they are being exploited or even the men/boys who are being conditioned to see women as 2 dimensional through porno films.

But as you said, feminism is about control...about women having control over whether they want to do bukakke or bdsm, which plenty of women, feminists actually enjoy. I'm all for women having more sway over the industry that built itself on them...I'll buy content directly from a cam girl/performer with a good concupiscence. Mainstream porn? Not so much.

It's dope to see chicks like Aiden Starr and Dana Vespoli doing flicks that are still very sexual in nature but are also creative and more intimate, I fukk with it.

The alternatives are out there already and widely available, the problem is if you put the alternative porn and the regular bangbros/brazzers/realitykings porn side by side and make the average straight male choose he'd gonna pick the bangbros/brazzers/realitykings "misogynistic" porn almost everytime.

People like Emma and Gloria think that men are programmed and conditioned through porn to have sexual power fantasies, when the reality is that the most popular porn features sexual power fantasies because most dudes whether openly or deep down already have sexual ties to the ideas of power and domination and they naturally gravitate toward that type of pornography.

They're tap dancing around what they really want to say, which is they don't think that men should be able to watch porn that has "misogynistic" undertones, and if possible I have no doubt their ilk would try and outlaw any porn that they deemed as misogyny.

Like I said before basic liberal "you think that way because you've been conditioned to think that way, come to us and let us condition you to think the right way" :mjpls:
Dapped and repped.
