Heres one take away from the DRuss/Mudiay debate (I've seen small samples but I think it'll prove true)

DRuss has a knack for making some beautiful/difficult passes. It's impressive, sure.

but Mudiay has stronger natural playmaking abilities that really shine through when you watch him play. Things as simple as running a play call to perfection, or hitting his shooters in the perfect spot for the easiest release, hitting his roll man in stride, at the perfect second, selling his dribble enough to create/distract an open look for a shooter coming off a screen, etc, etc

He has that ability to control a game with his passing, I don't see that with Russell (you don't see it with many players tbh)

That's where I see the Wall comparison. I think it's a very on point comparison as well

Russell hasn't been given the keys to the offense like Mudiay. That's really what it boils down to. Russell will average 7+ assists in a proper system

It's not even about systems or usage, Mudiay has great great floor general abilities

It's not even a knock of Russell, but there's a difference between being a great passer (which Russ may be) and a floor general (which Mudiay will be imo)
