No, they aren'tMost government jobs are BS, so not sure where you are going with that one.
No, they aren'tThis chick i met got an interview with the DOD coming up soon. She been within the government her whole career. They also have shorter retirement than normal companies do. They also have crazy days off like st patricks day and plenty of pto/vacation etc. Everyone I've met has never complained about the benefits...
Usajobs.gov was my favorite site at one point. Just need to finish my degree up and reapply for homeland securityGovernment jobs are the best bruh if you just want a nice salary and benefits
You be on vacation while everyone else is working and you be looking at nikkas in the private sector like![]()

lol I feel like people argue just to do it sometimes with no basis in reality. No, they aren'tThis chick i met got an interview with the DOD coming up soon. It's 2 weeks all the time. If a company rejected you because they couldn't wait two weeks (which they'd expect of their employees), then they didn't want you that bad, sorry breh....."Is your current job needing any notice before you commit to a position?" or a variation of the questionBeen at my current job for about 3 years now and I've had a couple positions call me and ask me this and I always say, " well, yes, 2 weeks....
" but they usually need a person to start immediately. How is the best way to answer this....I have no idea and its "cost" me about 2-3 positions over the last couple months
This isn't true my friend i ues to work with got a job at the fed they needed him right away he didn't have time for putting in two weeks notice worked the remainder of that week and started his new job.
You can believe what you want lol dudes desk was right beside mines so I know the truth.i'm sorry but i don't believe that or you misunderstood what your friend told you. the government hiring process is so long, by the book and tied up in red tape i highly doubt for one minute they'll pass on a candidate because the can't start in less than two weeks, i just don't see that happening. A matter of fact i don't see that happening for professional job candidates in the private sector at decent to good employers.
Thing is, they ask that shyt on the sly though....
Employer: So, klyk21, can you start immediately?"
Me: Yes sir!
Employer:....Will your current employer be needng a 2 week notice of any sort?
Me:
Employer: *leans over to co-worker in cube next to him* Got em' with the Okie Doke AGAIN TOM. Now they can't say we didn't try to interview minorities![]()
