yeah but if that's a benefit of going to work aren't you doing both yourself and your employer a disservice by not utilizing your benefits?I'm talking about the people that take as many as they can JUST so they can find another job... I know some who do that... they take every training offered just to get the completion certificate and to add more their resume ... although they honestly dont know shyt ... but thats another story
This is one of the big difference between the 2 generations.
The older generations are addicted to working long hours just to be able to say they worked long hours
Our generation has a lot of interest outside of work and just ask that the job engages is for 8 hours so we can go do what we want to
It is coming. Once these boomers retire in the next 10 years, shyt will change for the better.that nordic 6 hour workday is probably coming

ThisMy experience with hiring millennials hasn't been that they have a bad work ethic. In fact with my company when we hire a lot of times it takes a lot to get them to settle the fukk down even during slower days (slow for their function at least) because they so badly want to prove their value all the time.
But the other side of that coin is that when they aren't engaged in their job, or they are doing some shyt they don't really want to do, they half ass and don't even make the effort to pretend to not be half assing like older employees.
but thats to their detriment. Current pay structures require you to work 40 hours per week until youre 65. Until the rules change, its in your best interest to play along. This
cause they getting too old and stagnant in the workforce. There needs to be new blood.boomers have zero interest in retiring
28 y/o, full-sleeve,backwards hat wearing, pot-smoking 6-figure contract developer here...Bottom-line, learn how to code and be reliable and hit your deadlines and this shyt goes out the window.
Companies want 'profit maximization' but when to give employees minimum compensation. They want employees to work super hard, and yet pay them like they are interchangeable parts. This notion of this generation being lazy is nonsense. This generation often goes to school AND works. How are we lazy if we need 4 year degrees to get what was once given to someone walking out of high school?
