These employees are somewhat idiots if their main reason for quitting is based on the title of this thread.

From their letter with numerous misspellings, to not understanding that IF they were already receiving minimum wage as an hourly rate, that they will still make AT LEAST that amount as the employer is legally required to make up the difference to make sure they get at least minimum wage.

Good for them. Sometimes, a jolt like this is what a person needs for them to have the courage to move on and do better in life. As someone else already stated, even Mickey D’s is a step up.

Things like this tend to push people to build themselves up. To do better. To go back to school like they’ve been wanting to do for so long and stuff like that.

For many of those Sonic workers, a year is going to by and they are going to wake up one morning and look around, and then think back to where they were a year ago, and how they’d still be there if this never happened, and they are going to see that being forced to quit Sonic was the best thing that could’ve happened to them.
